I signed up for an EKG/Phlebotomy course with New York Medical Career Training Center paying $1,179 (receipt enclosed). The class was scheduled to begin on July 17th and run to August 14th, ALL correspondence I received from the school confirmed this start date and I made significant adjustments in my life in order to accommodate this specific start and end date. I then received a phone call on July 7th that the class start date would be changing and now would be starting one full week earlier than scheduled. This phone call came less than 1 business day before the new start date. This lack of proper and appropriate notification was very unprofessional and lead me to endure hardship in order to accommodate this new start date. I communicated my concern and dissatisfaction directly to the business in the hopes of getting a fair resolution in the form of a partial refund to compensate for their poor business practices. I however, was not even given the dignity of a response. I am hoping that the Better Business Bureau can help secure a resolution and prevent future students from being treated in this unprofessional manner.Furthermore, the quality of the education has not lived up even close to the promises of advertising. The daily classes always start at least *************************************************** a timely manner to unlock the office building in order for class to begin on-time. The school also consistently refuses to supply even the most basic and necessary supplies in order to successfully perform the basic training duties for EKG/Phlebotomy. The administration has ignored repeated requests by the classroom instructor to provide adequate supplies. I mentioned many of these concerns in my email to administration (enclosed here) though as I mentioned it was ignored.
