    I hired Lanning Property Services to install a retaining wall down one side and across the back of our pool. The contract price was $13,000. A deposit of $6,500 was paid on July 12, 2024 and work began July 29th.
    On August 7th, the main wall was completed but we were told that the caps for the top of the wall were on backorder and would take a couple weeks to arrive. We made another partial payment of $4,500 at that time with the remainder ($2,000) to be paid upon completion, which involved setting the caps, grading the land and hydro-seeding and laying crushed stone around the pool area. This has never been completed.
    On August 21th, I contacted Evan Lanning about the return date. He said as soon as the weather clears up they would be out asap.
    I followed up again on September 9th and was told they were a little slow because some of his guys returned to college and they were working on getting back here.
    I followed up again on October 8th with no response.
    I followed up again on November 5th with no response.

    Our landscaper quoted us for a paver patio and retaining wall project. We accepted the price and scope of work and he started on time but for the past 2 months, almost no work has been completed. Our retaining wall is not completed and no part of the paver patio has been laid. The caps for the retaining wall are not completed nor is much of the grading and finish yard work. He has since stopped communicating and showing up all together. We have given him a deposit and payments as per the contracted schedule but have not made the final payment. I believe we are out more money than work he has provided to this point. He has also ruined our neighbors yard which he had agreed to repair when he top soiled and seeded our lawn. The work that has been done to this point is acceptable. But no where near complete.
