    I reserved a handicap room October 24, 2023 for December 24, ****. I also called 2 days ahead of December 24th to check on the reservation. I was told everything was reserved. Upon arrival on December 24, we were given a ground floor room, not a handicap accessible one. My husband is paralyzed, and cannot walk at all. I was transferred to Choice on the phone, and was told Choice made the reservation. Choice stated that it was not noted on the reservation about a handicap room, only a ground floor. We had no where to go at that point, on Christmas Eve. so we stayed in a room where my husband could not fit into the bathroom with his wheelchair. We were told there was nothing they could do about it. We paid $231.00. When I called in October to reserve the room, and even 2 days before, I called the number on the website of the motel. The reservation went through Choice, where the error I am told, was made. We are past customers, and are very dissatisfied the way the situation was handled. The hotel could have been liable if an accident occurred. I am requesting a refund.
