  518 Floor Care had previously done some work for us. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail is beyond reproach, so it iwas a no-brainer to ask them to install hickory hardwood floors in our two bedrooms. As expected, they exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend 518 Floor Care for any flooring needs you may have; whether it be refinishing an old surface, to a total rebuild of what you have.

  Did an awesome job installing our new hardwood floors in our family room. Beautiful 5” inch Red Oak with a durable finish. Very happy with the finished product and the team at 518 Floor Care.

  It took me 2 years to decide to leave this review. Jan was very kind to us; however, we are disappointed with the result of our floors. There were several areas of concern when we initially saw the finished product. Despite their booked schedule, they came back to fix some major spots. We were appreciative. Since then we’ve worked hard to follow his advice on floor care. I bought a soft duster to sweep up dirt and use the **** cleaner. With this effort, we find spots in high traffic areas that seem to be down to the bare wood already. We don’t have a pet, wear cleats, or roll/drag anything on the floor, but the finish scratches so easily. Another kind worker came back within the year to fix a section that splintered off and was filled with what resembled pencil shavings. It probably should not have been installed in the first place. As to why I leave this review- I had a lot of faith in what I saw was a perfect, local company. It is just important to share they may not be totally a five star company.

We do not make the product that is applied and in almost all cases it holds up extremely well. I have been to several of my customers houses and have seen work we did 5-7 years ago that still looks the same as the day we did the work.   Just amazing! We wanted our kitchen floor to be finished using Bona so they would have that whitewashed Scandinavian feel. Jan knows the product and is certified to use it. This made all the difference. I had another person finish another room using Bona and it can’t even be compared to Jan’s work. In addition to this - Jan was super professional. It was amazing how little dust there was. I am already planning on having Jan come back to finish my dining room and family room!

  I highly recommend 518 Floor Care, this is the 2nd time we have hired them. We had wall to wall carpet removed and 5” red oak floors put in our family room. Jan and his crew are knowledgeable, professional and a joy to work with. We are very pleased with the end result. I’m sure we will work with 518 Floor Care for our next project.

  We had Jan and his crew from 518 Floor Care refinish the mahogany deck on our front porch. After twenty plus years of exposure to weather in the northeast, they had it looking like new in three day time. All the work was done in a very professional and efficient manner. Everyone took the time to answer any questions that came up, and explain exactly what they were doing. All the work was finished on time as promised, and exceeded our expectations. We will not hesitate to use them again, or enthusiastically recommend them to anyone for whatever their flooring needs.

  Jan and his team completed sealing and coating of our custom made stairs. Jan is very thorough, professional and honest. His workmanship and responsiveness is excellent. It is hard to find excellent quality work, reasonable price and honest contractor in this age. I highly recommend Jan for all your floor needs.
