    Central Air install under warranty less than 2 years ,the 2nd floor unit has leaked due to faulty parts and poor workmanship , contractor will not honor contract and I have to pay another company to repair this issue

    ******* ********** home owner.  Customer was given a 2 year service warranty at home owners request providing customers maintain AC & heating units,  never called in the 2 years.  As a courtesy I responded to service call, when I arrived i was told he had a water leak and fan stopped working and he and his son tried to fix the problem by using google.  That's two perfect reason that voids customers warranty.  I checked equipment and discovered AC system was working, checked wiring, operation of system and advised Nest thermostat sub-base is faulty which customer installed himself.  I offered a replacement thermostat and he refused.  I told him to return Nest thermostat and is all can do.  I few days later calls with the same problem and never replaced thermostat.  It was August heat wave and very busy at the time and I told hime his warranty service was voided and need to pay for service, he responded not so nicely and told him to call company near him.  Randaire office is located in ******************* customer in ************ that is one hour travel.  Like I said never serviced AC & heating equipment and A professional should be the only one working on units.
