This dealership is shady. I bought a Volkswagen Atlas in May, starting with the financing they were very weird. They would call telling us we were approved for the loan but wouldn't give us numbers . We got there and they gave us numbers but hid the true amount for the down payment we would have to put down for the vehicle. We paid the down payment and purchased the car. Right off the lot there were issues with the tires. We brought the vehicle back for the tires and that was the easiest part of everything . Next, the car failed the emission test. We also noticed the *** ports didn't work, the apple carplay didn't work, and we found mold underneath the seats which eventually spread to the seatbelts and the rest of the vehicle. They have had the car with service consistently since May and haven't successfully dealt with the situation. Whenever we ask for the paper work for the services, they fail to provide it and come up with a million excuses as to why they can't find the paperwork. The Volkswagen Manager is rude and hides every time we ask to speak to the manager, the one time he came out of hiding he was disrespectful and failed to answer any questions considering he wouldn't let us speak. Today we went to pick up our Atlas and were asked to sign papers saying we were satisfied with the service before even seeing the vehicle, we waited to see the car first and were not satisfied considering nothing was actually done to the car. They also somehow still couldn't find the paperwork. I just don't understand how a dealership doesn't keep files for every service they do.

This dealership follows incredibly shady practices when listing a vehicle for sale. We called and spoke with the sales staff regarding a deposit to hold a car since we were driving 3 plus hours, they denied a deposit but said they wouldn't sell in the mean time, all good so far. Once we arrived, we were looking at a used tiguan listed at $21k, the saleswoman asked the typical clueless salesperson question of "what do you want to pay per month" as soon as we sat down, we told her what we were looking for considering we had already sat with our bank and figured out after downpayment what we were looking to spend total. Then we went out on a test drive, all fine and dandy. Got back and sat for 5 or so minutes while she "talked" to her manager. She comes out and hands us a few pieces of paper listing vehicle values from CARFAX, and JD Power, both which were a fair bit higher than the $21k price tag online. Good deal right? Nope. Not at all. Next she pulls out the invoice. Talk about sticker shock when she slaps down $28k. All of a sudden, there's a $1999 charge for being a CPO vehicle, an egregious charge of $2570 for a brake job and oil change (which is standard when doing a CPO at this mileage). This should've been included in the online price, or at minimum listed in the ad, or ****, I don't know maybe mentioned on the phone when we said it's a 3 plus hour ride? Then the usual BS dealer fees tacked on. I argued the egregious CPO fee and brake job, but they countered with this is standard business practice and they thought they'd be able to stuff those fees up our a** since we drove so far and wouldn't want to leave empty handed. On the contrary, we left without skipping a beat. They're schiesty and shady as could be, list the **** car for what you are asking, don't dangle a carrot and pull the rug at the last minute. Luckily for us, on our way home we managed to scoop a tiguan at another dealer, AT THE ONLINE LISTED PRICE ($21K), had less miles, same features.

I bought a car there around January 3rd of 2023 and have a problem with one of the seats of my car and asked them to fix it which they said they would order the part. After about 1 month no one called me so I went there to see what happened and they told me it was on back order. I was upset that nobody even figured to call me and let me know this. My car is under warranty so I think 1 month should be more than enough time to get whatever piece you need. I then told the service manager that they got ***************************************************** a loaner until they fix my car. 3 days later someone called me from the dealership and told me they had expedited the part they needed to fix it so I set up an appointment for the next Saturday. I showed up early and left my car Where they told me that it should take no more than 2 hours to fix it and someone would call me when its ready. Nobody called me but around 12:30 I went there and my car was outside ready to be picked up. When I went to look at my car not only did they not put in a new piece cause they never had it but they tried to glue the old one back on and that was ungluing when I picked up the car. I told them that this was unacceptable and told them that either they fix my car the right way or give me a loaner. Before I know it 2 police officer where called to get me out of the dealership. So I was good enough for them to take my money 7 months earlier but now they dont wanna take care of my car which is under warranty the right way. I now am going to a different dealer to fix this. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE READING THIS TO NOT GO TO MOHEGAN LAKE VW BECAUSE ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE GARBAGE AND CALL THE POLICE ON YOU.

This dealership is shady and unethical, at best. We traveled from *********** to purchase a specific car and spent several hours testing and inspecting it and negotiating its purchase. After signing an agreement for a purchase price and additional accessories, and paying $500, we made a plan to follow up during the week with our salesperson and take delivery of the car the following weekend.
After making repeated, unreturned phone calls over the past three weeks and being hung up on, we learned our salesperson is no longer at the dealership and the car we searched diligently for (and secured with $500, pending the final paperwork) was sold to another buyer last week.
We will NEVER do business at ******* **** ** again.
