    Better Business Bureau:

My 1989 *******, initially, the estimate was verbal, for $8.5k, with Tyler deciding what and how to build me a 500-550 HP engine. I am a landscaper not an engine builder. I do not know enough about engines to have given specific instructions to him. I made no decisions on the actual build. It was his discretion.
When I finally receive the incomplete barely legible estimate, I could make no sense of it, I still cannot. A child could have done better. Zero-part numbers, incorrect pricing, parts listed were not installed, no labor fees, no detail.
On 5/24/24 I had paid a total of nine thousand dollars, that is, five hundred more than the original estimate. I understand estimates, I do them every day. I did not complain, however I did not expect to pay much more than 9k, possibly 10k at the most.
On 8/24/2024 a surprise bill of $3500.00 was presented, completely unannounced and I was told the car was complete. Car was not done/released till 10/15/2024, and not until I paid the $3500.00 final invoice. He would not release without full payment. I paid it, and trailered it to dyno. Please explain what bugs?? What are engine bugs??
Tyler installed the oil pump pick up tube gasket incorrectly(bugs), 2 bolts. The engine was not lubricated properly from the start (crucial mistake), nor was it built properly.
Even if the gasket was properly installed the top end of the engine was incorrectly assembled. Tyler put several/multiple different incorrect parts(bugs?) in the engine, these parts both caused permanent, non-fixable wear on all internal engine parts, this introduced a huge amount of metal in the engine. All of which contributed to the engines very, very short life span. Less than one hour run time. Total 2.1 miles on the dyno.

Tyler f*** had my car for 16 months and failed completely at his task as an engine builder. If I had driven it, I would not have made is home and his game would have continued without me being able to take action. I document everything, it’s a win win for me. Change your name to Tyler f****, stop tarnishing your family name, your brother is professional, not you!

I would have/and never will take any vehicles back to him. He lied routinely via text messages, and in person saying it would be done next week, Monday, Tuesday, etc... He lies on the BBB response and I have shown you incompetence, and deceptiveness very clearly, through documentary evidence alone. I will see him in court to get my judgment and the I will put a lien on his truck, car, boat, or property.

Please see attached time/geo stamped photos.

    **** *******

was put in there incorrectly, The oil pump could not have worked properly.

Different distributor gears ground up in the engine before I received the car back.

I have to take him to court to get a judgment that he will probably never pay.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/18/2024

    Good Afternoon.

**** ******* brought his 1989 ******* to me on May 23 2023 with a blown engine. He drags races this car. The estimate was to leave it fuel injected $8500.00. Then he wanted to go to a stroker 347 with carburetor. Should of been double the money. Now for stating I took to long and kept putting him off was on the payments. When you build a race car you pay as you go. All shops that build cars do this. First payment 6/19/23 $2,000.00, 9/15/23 $1000.00, 9/19/23 $2,000.00, 9/29/23 $1,000.00. Nothing over the winter then 3/27/24 $500.00 and so on, The last payment was 10/7/24  of $600.00. The pictures that he showed you are from my shop that I warranted and fix. I told him if anything goes wrong I will look at it no cost. I do a lot of engine work and you do get bad parts and I do take care of it. He decided to take it to the machine shop that did the block work. Now it's out of my hands. If he brought it back here I would have taken care of it. Like he stated in his letter. He was supposed to drive it to work the bugs out of it. He did not. I have never had a complaint in 20 years because I stand by my work.

Thank you for you time in this matter. Have a great day.

         Tyler C F***
