Unless you are a mechanic yourself you're never going to know how honest the auto shop is. These guys were transparent about labor and cost of parts. They even offer to let you bring the parts yourself. Do they mark up the parts? Maybe but good luck figuring that out yourself.

We had a dispute about the overall cost. After we picked up the car, we contacted the manager who went back to his records, acknowledged his shop's mistake and offered us the $95 refund. We appreciated their honesty and swift resolution.

Today I took my car to Mt. Vernon Auto Clinic and was met by a very rude woman who handed me a clipboard and said that i needed to sit in a room which was off to the side. A few minutes later I see the mechanic put my car on the lift. I then come outside and asked what they were doing, and she says that my brakes and rotors are no good and will fail inspection when connected to the machine. She said that if I changed them, it would pass and then handed me a bill for $840. I told her that I found it weird because my car is regularly serviced at ****** and actually had my brakes changed less than six months ago. She then stated that the car failed and then proceeded to scrape off my inspection sticker. She was extremely rude about it and didn't offer any other explanation and i had to pay $37 for the car to fail. I then took it to another mechanic who stated that there was nothing wrong with my brakes and rotors. My car ended up passing inspection at this othjer location. I attempted to call Mt. Vernon Auto Clinic to discuss this and she just became loud on the phone stating that this is their decision and then proceeded to hang up. After googling their reviews, I see many other people have experienced the same thing. Please BEWARE of this place as they are a scam and will take your money.
