American Solar panels failed to abide by the terms of the contract and failed to both submit the necessary paperwork, and also, failed to pay the necessary amount for the application. The company, specifically *****************, has lied to me multiple times saying the paperwork was in and it was in the final review process. Because of this deception, the loans I worked so hard for are have been rescinded.

On August 27, 2020 I signed an Installation Schedule Agreement with American Solar Partners. On November 9, 2020 I was approved for a loan of $22,000 to purchase solar panels for my house.Since then, I've had nothing but issues with the solar equipment. Most recently, an inverter that they already replaced once stopped working. The most recent problem began back on 5/28/2023 and I called *****************, the owner of American Solar Partners, when I noticed the loss in solar production on their monitoring app. Since then, he has directed my requests for repair to ******* and hasn't answered my phone calls since (his voicemail is also full). ******* the repair technician has admitted that the system is not working properly and has promised time after time to have the inverter sent to the property for repair. Several times throughout the summer, he has asked me to wait **** more days for the inverter to arrive and nothing has ever arrived. He also told me that there was a firmware update that fixed the broken inverter but this turned out to be false. I have requested the tracking number of the inverter package several times and ******* never gives it to me. The business is committed to a 25 year manufacturers warranty and 10 year labor warranty.I have warned them several times that I will be contacting the BBB, the *** attorney general, and will be hiring a lawyer to resolve the issue. This has had no impact on their urgency in fixing the problem. I have already lost an entire Summer of solar production and do not want to deal with any more empty promises. The advertisement that I first saw was distributed through my union, CSEA. The following link is very similar or possibly the same as the leaflet that was distributed throughout my office. ********************************************** Please let me know if there's any other information needed.Thanks,-***********************

At this time, I have been contacted directly by American Solar Partners regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    [Your Answer Here]

American Solar Partners told me that they would be arriving on 9/18/23 to fix the inverter but never showed up or called me to cancel the appointment.  I took the day off work to meet with them and they no call no showed.

Now they are telling me that theyll have someone come out to fix the inverter on 9/28/23 but when I email and text them asking what time, they dont respond.  My solar panels have not been generating power all Summer and it  seems like theyll never get fixed.  Its frustrating to work with a company that is not honoring their warranty policy and not even communicating with me to resolve the problem.
