    On 02/14/2024 "A"Best came and replaced the siding on my home with shingles because of the angle of the second floor(mansard style). The job costed $9,170.00 and I paid the full amount on 02/16/2024. The day of and the following days it snowed and I couldn't see the "finished" job. As the temperatures increased I noticed things that needed to be done to fully finish the project. I reached out to the salesman and the business. I have spoke to the lady that answers at the business and she just keeps telling me she'll let the salesman know. He did show up once without me here and fixed two small issues but didn't take care of the larger issues. He said the installer will just fix the rest but hasn't. I sent pictures of issues so the business can see what I was talking about. The things that I would like done to finish the job are, installing a 2.5ft x 6in (estimate size) piece of flashing over/above my window, ALL windows to be caulked to weather proof (I don't want to see wood or seams), caulk to fill holes or corners where water can get into frame around windows and any random metal that's awkwardly bent to be straightened or nailed down and caulked. I would like to be home when the fixes take place to make sure this is taken care of.

    Thank you for getting back to me. I'm not sure why it wouldn't be part of the scope of the contract. I would think that If you pull something off my house that you would replace it. Doesn't that sound right? When the snow finally melted there were 5 things that they didn't do or want to do. The sales rep came back, fixed 2 small things and then told me the foreman of the job would come back and fix the rest which was fine with me. I never heard from anyone after that even though I reached out to the sales rep and also the company on several occasions. truly for them to fix what needs to be done would only take a half hour at max. I'm not asking for money from them, I just want them to finish the job. them not doing these small things could be causing bigger problems because caulking would help weatherproof what they actually did install. I DON'T want to accept them saying it's a courtesy because it's part of the job but I just want them to finish what needs to be done. It's like asking a mechanic to change the oil in a car, he changes the oil but doesn't replace the oil filter because the person only asked the mechanic to change the oil. I'm getting worried now that there are other things that were missed since they're not willing to help right away. The work was done to the second floor and I can only see what was done if I crawl out the front windows. I just want you to finish the job because you didn’t do the full scope of it.

    A Best replaced the front porch on my home in July 2020.

    On January 5, 2021 melting snow on the porch was causing water to leak into the basement. I called A Best about this and a piece of siding that had fallen off, likely in a November 2020 wind storm. They sent someone over a couple days later. The gentleman looked at the exterior where the siding fell off and in the basement where the leak was occurring. He stuck his hand up on the basement ceiling and could feel cold air blowing in the location where the leak was happening. He asked what the porch installer looked like and said the leak could not be fixed until spring. I never heard back after that.

    November 5, 2021 - Called office asking for update. Woman on phone apologized this was not followed up on and said she was making a note for Philip and Tommy to bring it to their attention. I never heard back after that.

    December 2022 - Called office to report that melting snow on the porch is again causing water to leak into the basement. Someone was sent to the house that day. That gentleman stated that he is a roof guy not a porch guy and will have the office call us. I never heard back after that.

    August 8, 2023 - Called office for update. Woman on phone says she has notes from previous calls and will bring this to the attention of Andre and Phillip now and with the owner when he returns from vacation. I never heard back after that.

    August 16, 2023 - Called office for update. Woman on phone says she has this on her stack and that she has addressed this with the people who came out. She says they know who did the work and they are discussing internally whose responsibility it is to come out and fix it. I never heard back after that.

    August 18, 2023 - Called office for an update. Woman on phone says she will bring it to their attention on Monday. I asked for phone number so I can talk to these people directly and she declined. I am now reaching out to BBB for help resolving porch and siding

    "A" Best replaced my roof April 20 2021. They tore off 3 layers of roof deck. They also put flashing around the chimney. The roof around the chimney and flashing started leaking the first week of March, 2022. I have been calling the subcontractor since the first week of March, 2022. His phone number is ************. I have been calling "A" Best since the beginning of April, 2022. Their phone number is ************. I spoke to the subcontractor once in June or July. He said someone would stop by to check on the leak the following Monday morning, but no one showed up. I have left messages, and spoken to a lady at "A" Best several times, but my complaint never went farther than that. No one has made any attempt to contact me or fix my leak. My husband and I paid 11,542 to replace our roof. There is a life time warranty on our roof.

    As per *** ***** - This is a leak not due to the roof insulation, on November 1st, 2022. *** ***** went over to *** ***** ***. and showed the homeowner that the roof was not leaking.  He showed the homeowner that the Top Cap of the gray Cinder Block chimney is cracked (needs to be replaced/recapped) and the Cinder Blocks are deteriorating/corroding which is causing the leak... not the roof.   The Flashing was installed correctly, the homeowner used some kind of Mastic Spray all over the flashing and the shingles surrounding the area and the flashing was/is not the cause of the leak. It is recommended that the chimney be rebilled (2X65Ft), with 2 new flues and a Top Cap.  A Best Inc. does not do chimney work. As for their calls, when our foreman made several attempts to address the concern, he was not permitted to enter the dwelling to address where the issue may lay.   We are asking that this complaint be removed from the BBB record due to the leak is not contributed to the roof we installed.
