    I hired this law firm to assist in a divorce proceeding in June 2024. I was in contact w/ the lawyer for the initial meeting & have not spoken to him since then. I have been in conversations w/ a person name **** who I am assuming is the paralegal. I've expressed all what is happening between myself and my spouse. Provided numerous documentations, screenshots via text/email and was being told that things are moving. I was also told there would be a court date in January 2025. Fast forward to May 7th on advises of a friend, I called the Supreme Court to see what has been filed and if my spouse was actually served. He was served but the clerk stated my attorney has not filed an ***, so that the case can appear in front of a judge. When I called to inquire, I was told how things have been filed in court and the opposing attorney did not respond to their email they had sent on April 7 until a month later. and has not been answering their complaints. He stated because I paid the minimum cost, all they could do is try to stay in communication w/ the opposing lawyer. I asked so what did I pay for ($4500) if the opposing lawyer keeps stalling according to you what can be done. It was advised if I paid an additional $3500 it will cover three court appearances. **** had also asked if I could pay and additional $1500 for pendente file, it would supposedly speed up the divorce proceedings. My friend has found reviews of complaints about this lawyer, doing the same to prior ********** addition, thinking I was working w/ a legitimate attorney, I had a traffic infraction last year which **** was quick to let me know they can work on. Giving them an additional $300 that too has not been rectified. I got a letter this year from the township about the incident. I either want my money back or for them to complete the job. I am being forced to stay in a home where I am being retaliated against because I asked for a divorce. I was told it would be over in 4 to 5 months; close to a year
