On July 2, 2024, Trey Lohr and his company TLC Concrete began their work of putting in 2 concrete sidewalks at my home at *** ***** ******* ********** **, which they have completed. However, he has not fulfilled all of the terms of the contract which we both signed on 6/30/24. He has yet to repair/resurface a window sill and has yet to put a second coat of concrete on the facing of the front porch.

The contract was for all the work to be done for a total of $3,000. I paid him $1,500 cash on 6/30/24 when the contract was signed. The remaining $1,500 was to be paid at the time the entire job had been completed, per our contract. After finishing the sidewalks on 7/9/24 Trey had requested to be paid the remainder of the balance and said he would return on Saturday, 7/13/24 to complete the work. I thought that Trey was a trustworthy person and agreed to pay him $1,300 in cash which is just $200 short of the balance due, even though our contract stated that the entire balance was not due until all work was completed.

After multiple calls to Trey, at least 5 that I have documented, he has never returned to complete the work. My most recent call to him was on the morning of 7/26/24 which he did not answer, so I left a message on his voicemail. He has not returned my call.

I realize that I should not have paid him any of the remaining balance until the entire job had been completed. I am a trustworthy person and had mistakenly believed that Trey would honor his commitment. I now see how wrong I was.

It will cost me at least $550 to get another contractor to perform the work that Trey did not complete. I would prefer a refund of $350 from the amount that I have paid Trey already. As an alternative, I would be willing to have Trey honor his commitment and complete the job that we contracted for.
