    Business Response

    Date: 12/19/2024

They owe money for extra work they have refused to pay. Have failed to meet payment schedules and the ability for relation has deteriorated. All their children are out of house hold. They moved into this property without a Certificate of Occupancy. All that is left is the siding to be installed and we were working there 2 weeks ago. All of our paperwork is in order and we are pursuing legal action against them. I had a sit down meeting on Dec 9th where they gave $30k of $$ owed to that point of project. They are still behind in $$ owed at this time. They are fully aware of this. All monies owed are very well documented.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There is NO money to be owed to this business, due to several items that were not completed per our contract!!! Should have received Spray foam Insulation, But received Fiberglass insulation R19 in our exterior garage walls and bedroom walls, Foam board around foundation was never installed, Drainage around foundation was never installed, AC/Mini Split unit not installed, Over the stove vent never installed, Fascia and Soffit not installed, No siding installed and never ordered, Exterior electrical not completed, Front and rear porches not completed, Interior Beams not ordered or installed, Kitchen Pantry not installed, No linen closets installed.  Roof leaking and Boiler consistently leaking since installed.  We reached out to Contractor on several occasions as to the time frame of these items to be completed after given $30,000 dollars and we received NO communication back.  My daughter, son in law and 6 month old grandchild currently living with us due to currently building their own home.  We were given a temporary letter of occupancy dated October 21, 2024 good for 4 months, and will receive Final Certificate of occupancy when contracted work is completed, Contractor has NOT been on my premises to complete any of the above.  The only time he came was on December 9th,2024 to collect the $30,000 certified check and has not returned to complete these items. All of Our documents and monies owed back to us are in order and we are pursuing legal action against This business in hopes that this so called business does not do this to any other hard working honest families!!!!!!!!!!!
