Hello,On March 28th I sold my car to ****************** in ******************** ********. I sold them a 2018 **** Escape, black in color. They paid the car off on April 1, 2022. The car was sold for ******, and they paid *********** roughly ***** dollars to pay the car off. They said the check would be released once the title was released from ***********. I am still awaiting the title release for 5 weeks now and this is totally unacceptable. Trusit has not sent the title to the dealer , saying that they are awaiting the hold release from Dealertrack. There was a hold on the title because the title was at first going to be sent to me, but the title was then placed on hold as they realized that the title should be sent to the dealer as they paid the car off. I contacted Dealertrack as they are the titling portion of the deal, and they have not rectified the problem, while I am still waiting on the title release so I can receive the check from the dealer. I am out ***** dollars, while they are playing games with the title. I do not see a speedy resolution without help so I am filing a complaint so I can get a resolution for this important matter. Dealer tracks number is **************. The used car dealer manager is ******************************* and the car dealership number is ************. The stagnation is unacceptable, as this matter should not have taken longer than two weeks, when they realized the title should be sent to the dealer, but 5 weeks have sailed by with no resolution. I called the dealer and went to the dealer in total 9 times, and called *********** 7 times and they have not done anything to get the matter taken care of through Dealertrack, ******** should not need Dealertrack to get this done, but since they use this company for titles I am placing a complaint on them as they are deliberately holding up the title and my check. The dealer sold the car 2 weeks ago, but I am out of a car and my check.
