    I booked a single process hair appointment and trim with salon AKS. ******* and I agreed to cut two to three inches of hair. She ended up cutting seven inches to a foot of my hair off. ******* told me I was too young for very dark hair that I should try balayage - I told her I dont want my hair to look orange. She promised that would not happen. She left my hair different shades of orange with bleach spots all over. I emailed the salon and told them I was very upset by how short my hair was and how it was literally the shape I did not want - they told me my cut suits me and offered for me to come back for them to cut my hair even more. I left them a bad review for cutting off my hair, disrespecting my culture and autonomy and leaving bleach spots in my hair. I texted ******* and asked her to blend the bleach spots and she agreed. When I was on the way to the salon to fix these issues, ******* told me she could no longer fit me in to fix the mess she created. Helpless, I updated the review to include the fact they stood me up and would not fix the bleach spots. And, I filed a complaint with NYS attorney general. The salon responded to my complaint that they did not follow usual company policy and fix my hair because I left them a bad review. They said they would refund me for the bad cut, but would not reimburse me for having to find someone to fix the bleach spots and orange stripping. I received their response on June 4th and they still have not refunded me for cutting off 7 inches of my hair and leaving bleach spots.
