On 3/14/22 I used XpresCheck for travel related testing at the ***************************************************** in *******, **. At the time of service no medical insurance was accepted and I was required to pay for the services in full. After the trip, and upon return home, I filed a claim for the services with my Insurance Provider (**). The ** *********** Blue Shield of Ala.) requested an itemized receipt for the services rendered. So I reached out to the Service Provider (SP) (7/25/22) requesting this information. I was provided this information in a reasonable timeframe. After some time the Insurance Provider processed and settled the claim with the Service Provider on my behalf for a negotiated rate between the two on or around (08/5/22). Me, expecting the claim would be paid to me directly, called and requested more information from the ** as to why the claim was issued to the Service Provider. From here I was told that the Service Provider entered an additional claim on my behalf for the services rendered, this additional claim took precedent and that a negotiated rate was paid to settle their claim not mine, and that the two claims could not have been misconstrued as Service Providers enter the system in a different manner from manual claims. I informed the Service Provider of all of this, and requested a refund or effective resolution for the services rendered that were paid in full and settled on my behalf by the Insurance Provider (~$250). To date I have tried multiple attempts to get an adequate response on this issue, and while kind the company and **************** has been ineffective or unresponsive in resolution. In the last communications, I was told this matter has been forwarded to the billing department, and that I would be contacted to resolve the matter. Contact to resolve has not happened to date, and I have sent multiple requests for status updates through the various channels provided to no avail.

I have been contacted by XpresCheck or an associate of the business after notifying them of the BBB. In my communication, I asked them to respond to the complaint and I encouraged them to seek a suitable resolution or I would not hesitate to respond to the inactivity. I was responded with a thank you for my patience and that this matter was being forwarded to their "legal team" for review. I was told I would receive further communication this week.

My last communication with the business was through email stating that they would issue a refund of $198.53 out of $250. I accepted this offer. However to date I have not received any payment or correspondence as to when payment would arrive. The business overall has been absolutely terrible in response time and communication about the progress of this complaint.
