    I enrolled in a basic life support CPR course for 2/6/2023 as it is needed for my employment. I received a message stating the course had to be rescheduled and I was enrolled for a class at a later time. Upon my arrival, I was told to reschedule because I did not complete the necessary online portion, even though it was in my email's span folder. When I got in contact with the company, I was told the there is a $30 rescheduling fee. I explained to them that I am currently unemployed, and do not have any extra money on top of what I already paid to reschedule. At this point, four days has passed from my initial rescheduling request and I asked for a refund so that I can take this course at another company because my employment offer was dependent on completing the *** course. I was then told that I purchased the course under the company's seasonal special and I am not eligible for a refund. I was not aware of this, being that the "seasonal special" was the only purchasing options present, and while the course description states that the course was a seasonal special, it does not explains what it means or the purchasing stipulations that are included. I explained my confusion and that I would like something to be done because I did not have the extra money for them, and they did not want to give me a refund, but I need this certification for a job. I kept being told that I have to pay a rescheduling fee. My experience with this company is very frustrating. It has been over two weeks, and I do not have my certification. My calls and emails are now being ignored. The longer it takes for me to get this certification, the less likely I will be a candidate for this job. They are extorting vulnerable people for extra money, however when there was a scheduling conflict on their end, that was fixed in a matter of minutes. I would like a refund for my purchase so that I can get my *** certification through another company and I can proceed with my employment process.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and I am being forced to drop this dispute. Being that I need this CPR Certification for employment, I had to pay the transfer fee to Aquatic Solutions to move forward with my employment process. The company then reached back to me and informed me that unless I drop the dispute I filed against them, I will not be able to be enrolled in any course they offer, which will prolong my certification and ultimately employment process. I have explained to them my financial situation, and I feel that Aquatic Solutions is abusing their position of power by withholding my certification unless I remove my complaint. I am still very unsatisfied with my interaction with this company, but my employment and future takes priority for me at this time.
