  But, really NO STARS!I purchased a detergent advertised as gentle and safe for use on my many cashmere sweaters. I used it for hand washing nearly using the entire first bottle of the liquid product which worked well.As it happens, there was a toxic ingredient in The Laundress detergent and a subsequent product recall. I sent them a photo with product manufacturing numbers etc. After a few email exchanges they asked for more and more...bottom line, is that they refused reimbursement. These are sad times we live in when even an acknowledged toxic product will not help a company behave in a professional and ethical manner.

If you submit a photo, with date and initial without a valid receipt, you will receive the manufacturers suggested retail price.Once we receive this information, we would be more than happy to expedite your refund.   Initially impressed with their products but shortly after ordering a large container of laundry detergent they issued a product recall due to bacterial contamination. I followed all the instructions on receiving a refund and have followed up with multiple emails and have not been contacted or received any type of refund or replacement. Disappointing customer service. I would suggest they don't offer a recall process if you're not going to do anything about it. Won't ever buy from them again and suggest others avoid this business.

  All of their laundry products have been recalled. When you go to the site of which you are supposed to file claims you are supposed to download a photo of the products.... the screen then shows a spinning circle which shows your photo download, it either spins for 10 minutes, or simple kicks you off the page. It took me ten attempts to file a claim and the final claim which was accepted took 30 minutes. I'm sure now that this is because they don't want you to be able to male a claim. Frauds!!!
