  A scam. They did not read the book "Pursuit of Freedom" by my mother ***** *********. They read the first part but left out a review of the most important transformative experience in the latter half of the book. When we complained, they said they would review again, but then wrote saying they would not. This left the author ***** ********* disappointed and feeling she had been scammed. They are a company of grifters who don't do what they say...

  What a waste of hard-earned money! They advertise professional reviews, but the reviewer didnt even read my novel in its entirety. I paid $599 for a review of my upcoming novel. (I had received a professional review for a memoir ten years previously and expected the same standards this time around.)The reviewer spit out a poorly written, slapdash, incompetent review. I suspect the reviewer read only the first 3 chapters if that, and then skimmed to the middle, but didnt read past that. I complained to the complaint department, requesting either a refund or a skilled reviewer who actually read the novel. I presented evidence of all the distortions, inaccuracies, and blatant incompetence of the review and Kirkus strung me along, stating that reviews were subjective or that the reviewer wanted to avoid spoilers. Yes, reviews are subjective, but they should at least address the actual content of the novel. I know Kirkus provides professional reviews for publishing companies but the reviewer didnt even read my novel. In the Kirkus customer agreement, ********************** states the book will be evaluated in its entirety. They didnt keep their end of the bargain/
