I am currently making a series of calls trying to get my money back. A friend "invited" me to complete the introductory course, which I later learned is practically a requirement for maintaining individual standing in the organization. If you don't recruit, you're a bad member. It's all a rather frightening mind game that the organization plays with its members; by participating in the group, you supposedly learn to be a more altruistic individual as a form of self-growth. However, I would argue the opposite; ****** says that the word altruistic is defined as "showing a disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others; unselfish."If altruism were at play here, the obvious policy of indoctrination would not exist. The selfless concern for the individual's well-being does not seem to apply to clients; it is a selfish concern for getting as much money out of vulnerable people as possible before they realize they are being scammed.VERY IMPORTANT: If you look at the org's website, you'll notice a complete lack of terms and conditions. This is not an accident. If ***&C existed, it would say, in some way, that the entire course fee is non-refundable, rather than just the explicitly albeit obscured non-refundable deposit of $170. At least, that is what a representative contacting me over text would have me believe. They would only offer me enrollment in a future training session at no cost, which defeats the purpose if your reason for canceling is not an unexpected schedule change.I am not done fighting to get a $395 refunded to the cardholder. Sadly, the expense has fallen on the Altru member who "sponsored" the cost of my training. If no refund is given, they will have cheated their member out of a lot of money, and it will be on me to repay them. For their sake, I would, as they're a victim of the scam itself, but I would not be happy about it.And the internet would start seeing many similar reviews from me.My investigation is ongoing.

This place is a JOKE! They are actually a Cult they were previously known as Gratitude trainings & were sold off and re-branded to Altru Center. They are all over the nation & growing fast! They primarily target the ****** community. They reel you in by offering things such as open awareness trainings to gain an enlightened state, mentally & spiritually. These ppl do not like to give names of ppl that work there, their emails are endorsed by Altru ****** with just a phone number that no one answers. I had to send multiple ************** calls to get a call back. Basically had to beg for a refund! These ppl come from questionable paths of life which Im not judging but they claim to be certified in different things they even request you to fill out a medical clearance, when I stated I didnt feel comfortable with that, a representative or what they call ***** stated that the medical clearance is just a formality & can be forged!!!! They are supposedly a non profit organization but they charge $500+ for 1st course & several hundred dollars for several other trainings. The teams offer up their homes allowing strangers to stay with them which is a potential sour & severe safety situation. These ppl dont need background checks to play therapist or counselor but yet hold trainings to process trauma. They brainwash the public, these ppl start to talk in an odd fashion, behave in a robotic notion with no facial expressions. They are taught & directed to manipulate others & learn to be persuasive with ill intentions to attain funds such as being sponsored to complete trainings. They are forced to recruit others in order to continue to move forward with the trainings they offer. Ppl that have hierarchy in Religious practices/groups are instructing & demanding that their followers take the trainings in order to attain a higher position within their ******************** If you dont do what they want they will shame you & berate you! A+ rating?
