    A company called Gnome Book Writing contacted me when I was on-line looking for a publisher. They charged me for their services regarding getting my book published. I did each thing as they told me what to do next - I paid for copyright, proofreading, page design, advertising, ****** account, goggle search, book marking, etc. After the book was published and for sale on ******, they said my book had been selected by Books a Million to be used in a charity event. I was to pay $5000. up front for printing and shipping. I was to get my money back plus money from sales in a few months. That event was in May 2023. I have never been paid and it seems to be a scam. I have not been able to contact any of the 5 people I had been working with by text, email, or phone. No response. I am told by a reputable publisher that Gnome Book Writing is a SCAM.

    I started with Gnome Publishing in 2022 to have my book illustrated. Since that time, I have received illustrations although it took two years. Additionally, they said they would help publish and print it. I have paid 12K to get this done and 2.5 years later, I do not have a published book. They made many promises about reaching out and marketing, printing materials, etc., and listing on Amazon and ****** and *****. None of this has happened. I am now working directly with Amazon which is much more knowledgeable and upfront. I feel a fool for continuing with them but hoped for a published book. My naivety was very apparent as 8 different people asked me for money and I still trusted. I should have known but I was hopeful and trusting. 2.5 years later, I still do not have a published book.

    I contacted Gnome Book Writing for the publishing of my book in September 2022. I was given a guarantee that the package I chose would accommodate all I needed to complete my ************* months later there was no progress and then I was told that I would need to pay an additional $2000 to have the book formatted the way I wanted and the original price was for basic formatting. Then I was told that the person who told me this was fired for giving false info and not doing what he was supposed to. To date I have had three different people on my project and now I would like a full refund so I can go elsewhere to have my book published.

    I hired this company to market a children's music Christmas book in2021. It was evident from the beginning that this company was unable to do the job. I spent most of the time correcting their work - all aspects of their work, from their writing to their marketing strategy. It was a disaster. Out of ********************** the contract, only one was honored. Their contract states that if not satisfied or ROI of 300% was not met in 2.5 months COMPLETE refund was to be had. After they agreed to a refund, they were to provide $500 per month for eight months to refund the $3,999 that I had paid in full. I had to fight with them EVERY month to get them to honor their end. I have only received $1,500 of it so far and NO ONE will answer my complaint. I am still owed money. I have sent a legal letter of demand to no avail. I also find that there is no information as to who owns this company upon research which leaves one suspect as to their business practices. It is my desire that this complaint will result in the completion f my refund without me having to seek further legal recourse. It would be respectable of them to honor what they promised.

    No. This complaint is not under litigation. That is exactly what I am trying to avoid. I sent a letter of demand for payment as proof for my records.
