My partner and I visited on 12/27 for the 7:30 showing of the 8-Bit Big Band (order # **********. We arrived well before start time, but were not able to enter the venue until 30 minutes into the set due to there being a single person working the door. There were at least 60 people behind us left waiting even longer. After our tickets were scanned, we were told to wait on a second line, which we did. When we made it to the front of that line, the usher were asked the size of our party (2) and ticket type (GA) and despite this the usher led us to the front tables. We did not ask to be seated there, & would have been perfectly happy standing in ** as we had intended. We enjoyed 1 song at our seats before the waiter came to harass us about a cover charge. We were forced to leave the table and head back to the standing room area where now there was no room except in the doorway of the kitchen. We stayed there for 1 more song when we saw that in front of us was a physically disabled man being forced to stand with his assistive device. He had been put in the same situation and was desperately trying to get a chair from the staff. We had full view and hearing of the interaction as we were now pushed back nearly to the door to try and get out of the way of the waitstaff. Despite having a visible physical disability, this man was also forced leave his seat because he did not order food or drinks to meet the $20 seating minimum. Aside from violating the **** he was met with an absolutely abhorrent response from the usher and ticketer at the door. They yelled at him, would not let him finish a sentence as he tried to explain himself and his disability (which legally he does NOT need to do to receive accommodation), and told him he should have either paid the $20 seating cover or read the policy online and not come to the venue to begin with. At this point we left despite barely seeing any of the show.
