I had my lashes done On September 23, 2024 at Lash Wonderland a/k/a Skin Wonderland ***** and immediately after my eyes began to swell. I thought it was the product they used to remove the residue in my eyes, while applying the lashes. There was another technician standing over my tech who seemed to be correcting her and eventually tech # 2 completed the job. That evening the burning sensation continued and the following day I saw a dermatologist who gave me a prescription for dermatitis. Although I was told the lashes would cost $150 my credit card was charged $190.00. When I asked them for an explanation they showed me their calculator and said one word tax. The woman showed me the numbers on her calculator (+ *****%) I tried to explain that the tax on service is only 4.4% but she played dumb and said no English and went mute. It took weeks for my eyes to heal, and cost me $300 for the visit and prescription. After many calls to Lash Wonderland demanding to speak to a manager I was given a $15 refund for the tax discrepancy, but not what I requested which, (at a minimum) the balance of $165.00 which is what I am owed! My dermatologist said that it was likely due to the glue they used, the unlicensed + inexperienced technician + the unsanitary conditions that caused the dermatitis. Lash Wonderland is placing their clients at risk!!! I was desperate for answers the evening they applied the lashes when I started to feel tingling and burning and both technicians just said no speak English. They then tried to wipe the glue with a rag, which only ruined the lashes. The dermatologist was able to remove most of the lashes the following day but It is egregious how they play dumb once they sense that there is a problem. This is a cautionary tale!! MAKE SURE TECHNICIANS ARE LICENSED, THE PLACE IS CLEAN AND THAT THEY ARE REGISTERED AS A BUSINESS IN THE STATE THEY ARE OPERATING, UNDER THE SAME NAME THEY ADVERTISE. Please help me get a refund.
