      I first contacted **** at Citi Levels Contractors on 7/29/2023 about a job I wanted to hire him for at my new apartment. We agreed to have him come by an see the place in person, and for us to discuss future plans. On 8/3/2023, **** came over and we came up with a plan on what would need to be done to accomplish the work I wanted. Upon leaving, he told me he would get me a quote by the end of the day.On 8/5/2023, **** texted me a quote for materials and labor totaling $575.00. At that point I agreed and sent him my Building's requirements for Citi Levels Certificates of Insurance information. I was told by **** that he would be visiting his insurance Agent on Monday, 8/7/2023, and would get the information to me then. He then requested a deposit of $250.00 for materials to go ahead and start purchasing. On 8/5/2023 he texted me a contract stating the work to be done as well as deposit and total price. On 8/7/2023, I sent $250.00 via Zelle to his companies account. He acknowledged the receipt of deposit and told me he would have the *** information to me by 8/8/2023.On 8/10/2023 I sent a texted checking in on progress. I was met with no response.On 8/12/2023 I sent another text asking for an update on the project and update on *** information. I was met with no response.On 8/14/2023, **** sent a text stating he had been really sick and apologized. He said he was catching up on work and could meet with me on 8/21/2023. I agreed and planned to meet then.On 8/21/2023, I had not yet heard from him and texted for an update. I was met with no response.On 8/24/2023 I texted for an update and was met with no response.On 8/28/2023 I texted for an update and was met with no response.On 8/31/2023 I texted to inform **** that we would no longer like to use his services due to the lack of communication and his inability to supply us with needed *** information. I requested a return of deposit.To present day, I have not heard from nor received any money back.

      Citilevels is supposedly a contractor service. I met the proprietor *********************** after he had given my wife a business card outside a retailer she was visiting. After I showed him all the work we needed done, he gave me an estimate which I found to be reasonable. Of the roughly ten items we needed fixed, he completed less than half of them and of those most were unsatisfactory. He requested 75% of the estimate for supplies and services rendered and then disappeared on us. No response to emails, texts, voicemails. It has now been over a month and a half since I last heard anything from him. It may be that the job was too difficult for him or he never intended to put in the effort but either way he has stolen money from ** without explanation since nowhere near 75% of the scope of work was completed.
