    Went to Zabar's today, and made purchases, was checked and paid with my Credit Card. Upon leaving I noticed I hade been charged with 2 items I did not buy. I notified the cashier and a colleague of her about the problem. They called a manager to help because the cashier had closed her register. The manager did something on a different machine, and gave a new receipt with the correct amount, stating that I would only be charged $76.89 instead of $83.16, and I should not even see the old(wrong) transaction. Well, I came home a few hours later, and my credit card makes no mention of the correction. I called Zabar's, inquire, and they did not get back to me. It has been a real pain, and they're not pleasant either these people

    I subscribed to Zabar's coffee via mail for a few years. I always ordered the "course grind". After receiving a few shipments that included some bags with the opposite grind (instead of "course," it was "fine;" I only have a ************ so a fine grind would not work), I cancelled all shipments. However, the catalogs would not stop coming, and boy, were they frequent....so many catalogs......so much paper waste. I called on 4/3/24 and requested that Zabar's STOP sending me the catalogs. On 9/10/24, I get another catalog! I opened a BBB complaint because I do not trust Zabar's. Zabar's was very dismissive to me when I called about the coffee problem. The problem with the catalog may be because their IT vendor is not very good, OR it may be that they use deceptive practices and reactivate mailings after a few months. I bet it's the latter. Here's the deal....I will not shop at Zabar's again. In order to permanently make the catalogs stop, please remove all of my information and history from your records. I want this to permanently stop.
