      I would give less than 1-star if I could I would give Bitly less than 1-star if that was possible. I have used the free version to make lots of short URLs in the past. So I tried making QR codes only to find that they now direct to ads and allow little to no customization. I "upgraded" to a paid plan and tried hard to take advantage of the design options for QR codes. Each time I tried, I got the message "Code could not be created". All the while, credits were being deducted from my monthly allotment even though I did not get any usable codes. I tried contacting Bitly Support, but they took more than a day to respond only and outside business hours to say they needed more information. I provided the information but never got any actual support. I have also asked repeatedly for a refund, but they insist that they do not offer refunds. My advice is to stay as far away from these fraudsters as you can.

      This company is unethical from onboarding to customer management. I created ONE qr code using their site. It was advertised as a "FREE" qr code and after one week the code expired forcing me to purchase a full year of their service because I already used the code on printed material. I was forced to pay for a full year (because, why offer monthly when your customers are already handcuffed) and then I cancelled. Now they're charging me again for 2025, and in a "no take backs" move, they refuse a refund that I requested the same day as the new subscription charge. Unbelievably poor service.

      THEY ARE ABOSOLUTELY SCAM ARTISTS!Signed up for their advertised free QR code, nowhere was it listed that it was a free trial or what the prices would be. So I made my code, printed all my wedding invites only to find out that by the time people received the invites that the code no longer works. Then they try to tell you the monthly fee is only $10 BUT you must pay for a year at a time. THAT IS NOT A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP THEN, THAT IS A YEARLY MEMBERSHIP OF $120!Do not use this company, they spend tons of money they have scammed out of people to make sure they show up first on a ****** search.

      This review specifically deals with the bit.ly service qr-code-generator.com. The service quickly onboards you and helps you to create your first QR code. Onboarding is very fast and easy -- too fast, in fact, as I will explain.A 14-day trial of their professional service is quietly provided during onboarding. There is a free version, apparently (though I have not been able to find or utilize it), but the professional service allows you to make dynamic (changeable), rather than static (permanently the same) QR codes. However, without informing you, the code that you create during your trial and sign-up will always be dynamic. Though you may not even require a dynamic code, you will not be able to opt to make a free code during the onboarding flow. You cannot change a dynamic code to a static code - Bitly has denied users this functionality, though it would be technically very trivial to implement.The net effect is that once your trial expires, you must pay (much more than it should be, as is typical of deceptive trials like this) monthly to maintain your dynamic QR code. The purpose is to lock you into paying for their overpriced service permanently after you have already had your new QR code printed and distributed to your customers, thinking it would be something you could keep using the free tier.

      I have since closed my company that I associated my account with. I attempted to cancel the subscription over a year ago and canceled the email for the old business as well. Turns out they have a new way to cancel subscriptions and accounts now and my subscription was never cancelled. I attempted to reach out to customer support with zero luck. One person responded after several days saying they needed to send my case to a supervisor and I have never heard back. They have continuously attempted to charge my card nearly everyday since. Most days multiple charges are attempted. Worst customer service ever.

      I signed up for a free trial to use the qr code. After the 14 day trial ended I was encouraged to upgrade. I only needed this code one time only so hated to spend over $100 for a year's subscription. Now I am having issues with the codes. There is ZERO customer support. Nothing but a chat bot that isn't able to connect me to a real human. I have emailed the company at least 3 times and no reply back from them. Due to the lack of professionalism and zero customer support, I want my money refunded. According to your Qr code generator website (powered by Bitly), "You can revoke a new subscription within ************************************************************************** our Terms and Conditions. This is exclusive to consumers and does not apply to contract renewals.If you would like to revoke your subscription, please send your request via our 'Contact Form' within 14 days of your purchase." The problem is, no one will reply to help me with this and there is no way to call customer service. I am just taken to a BOT chat that leads to nowhere. It is very frustrating
