    I can't actually reserve tickets because I apparently cannot activate my account to reserve tickets online without a physical card that never arrived. I can't make changes to my account because, according to the app, the server seems to be perpetually down. Even if I had the card, I would only be able to buy tickets to non new release matinee showings because with fees added the monthly credits are not enough for a single movie ticket otherwise. Considering that the monthly fee is more than most movie tickets, Moviepass 2.0 seems to be a more expensive, less convenient way to buy movie tickets.

    First of all, somehow they got me signed up with my credit card without my knowledge. Several months later I noticed charges on my CC that were going to this business. I reached out and got someone on a chat that basically said they would not refund the charges but that they would add additional credits on the account to make up for the charges. It was an interesting idea but they had a digital card number, which I did not have yet and said that I just use the digital card when trying to go to the theatre. When I tried to use the digital card, theater after theatre kept turning me away saying that only use physical cards. I contacted the company again and finally got someone to respond to send me a physical card, which took months to get and they were still charging me. No worries though, because they were just going to credit my account with ******************** credits. Once again, theatre after theatre said they didnt accept the moviepass card. I travel a lot and this experience happened over the following months in state after state, major cities like ******* and ****** and small towns alike. Then something happened. Moviepass locked me out of my account, I could not log in and could not reset my password, no one answers the phone at their HQ, they are very difficult to contact. I have only ever been able to successfully use the card once. All other attempts have been denied I want a full refund for all monies paid at this point.

    Sadly a total scam and false advertising, you can get one movie with the pass and pay more than the theater, thats if it even works for youWhen I actually tried to cancel I couldnt, asked for my money back and they refused and said I never even tried to cancel even with proof

    We certainly hate to see reviews like this.  After researching Ray's account, it was clear that there was confusion on how MoviePass works and to be honest, we didn't do a great job providing answers. While we tried to clarify, we could have done better.  We definitely are not scamming anyone and want all of our members to have enjoyable experiences.  We will learn from this and improve.

    I thought I would give movie pass a try seeing that I had a good experience prior to the company going under some years back. For the first couple of months the subscription worked fine then the card started getting declined. I reported the issue to movie pass but they were no help. I tried to locate a number but the company only communicates through email. Long story short I cancelled my subscription but movie pass continued to debit my account for an additional 6 months. I tried to get a refund but no one returned my emails and I had to cancel the card the subscription was tied to.

    Moviepass is a predatory company! You can't get a hold of someone on the phone. Well that's not a surprise now. I have contacted them for months asking them to stop charging my credit card but they don't stop. I have sent proof of screenshots of my account and still nothing. All I want now is my credits worth all those months worth of charges and can't get an answer from anyone. Sent a dozen emails and still nothing. Need my money back or credits on my account.

    Signed up 4 members of my household after seeing my theatre of choice was endorsing them. Tried to take advantage of their 2 week free trial. I was billed immediately for all 4 accounts. When I went to the theatre to use, the App just showed error messages. After working with the theatre manager for 20 mins, we determined it didnt work. I sent an email requesting a refund the same day and havent received a response.

    1 star because when it used to work it was good but it hasnt worked in months. I have attempted to call, email and tweet. The phone number listed on ****** doesnt work. The email communication seems suspicious and the ******* account doesnt respond. I have 315 credits from paying $30 monthly and I am torn about canceling because then I know I wont get a refund but also Ill lose my credits and if it ever does start working again then I would have lost them. *** asked for a new card that is still connected to my current account but was sent a new card for a new account but that doesnt have the ************************ each month. Pretty sure this is a scam.

    Signed up in January 2023, was only ever able to see three movies, total. Every time I visited a theatre in April, May and June, I could check in to a movie, but my card was never loaded with funds. So the card was declined.Movie Pass answered my support request in May and said they thought I was buying concessions (the exact price of a movie ticket?) and would not reimburse me for the ticket. I tried again in May and June, same problem. But now, no reply to messages or chat requests. Waited many days and nothing.Beware of this company.
