    In May 2024, I brought a shirt to be dry cleaned. When I picked it up, there were large stains and I brought it to their attention. They dry cleaned again and stains remained. They said they would give me 10x the amount I paid for the service so since I paid $6.50, they were going to give me a check for $65. Today I went to pick up the check, but they refuse to give me back my shirt now. The shirt is worth $120 so even with the $65, its a loss. I want the shirt back (so I can dye it, donate it or wear it under a sweater) or a reimbursement of what I paid for the shirt.

    To whom it may concern,

    According to our policy, which is printed on the back of every ticket, in case of lost or damaged items we pay 10 times the amount of the service. 
    In this particular case, the cost of service was $6.50, so we paid $65.00 in accordance with our policy.  Once we pay for the damage, we are not obligated to return the item.  We are not sure if the stain was pre-existing, or damaged in the process of dry cleaning.  Regardless, by accepting the payment a customer agrees to our terms and conditions.
