    Id like to request Book of the Month clearly notate on their website that their services and responses are business hours only. Especially in the transaction process and FAQs.I purchased a 6 month subscription Saturday morning as a gift to give that day. I chose the print at home version specifically because I needed it that day. I have confirmed that my card was charged immediately but have not received a purchase confirmation from ****. I reached out via email form and text help, which said they are only open M-F 10-5est. Consumers have the right to know if there is a delay in receiving digital goods purchased. Had I known that this digital gift would not be fulfilled until the following Monday, I would have chosen something else to gift. I would like a refund and clear warning be displayed to others so they are properly informed of timeline for receiving digital goods purchased.

You should have received an email confirmation for your gift right away, which would have allowed you to print the voucher and give the gift on time. It was an unexpected technical issue on our end that stopped this from happening. We apologize that our *************** team was not online to assist you as well. We understand how the technical issue and lack of response would be frustrating, but please know it is not the typical experience.

    I wanted to purchase a book and hat through a promotional offer that was being given by Book of the Month club. I had paid $5.44 to receive the product. However, I now want to cancel my membership because I only intended to purchase the hat and the book through the promotional offer, but I believe **** had false advertising because they will not allow me to cancel my membership until I pay next month's cost of the subscription membership. I had signed up through my phone and was not made aware of these details; if I had known, I would not have signed up for their membership and continued with the promotional offer. Please advise

    I purchased a book through a promo I saw in a ******** ad. I assumed there may be a subscription requirement in order to take advantage of the deal, but I was able to checkout with just the book. The very next page after purchasing the book was a chance to select a subscription plan, but before I was even able to review the options, I got a notification that a charge went through for one of the plan options. When I went to cancel, it told me I had a two month commitment and that I cannot cancel until after that. Maybe this was hidden in the terms and conditions somewhere, I'm not sure. But it absolutely was not indicated in the ad nor was there an opportunity for me to agree to the charge for the subscription. I don't want this subscription. I was considering it for the future as right now I do not have the financial capacity for this extra charge. But if this is how sneaky they are in the beginning, I cannot imagine how shady they are down the line. I want the subscription cancelled and a full refund. I don't even care if they want to keep the book and refund the money I paid for that, too. Without an expedient resolution, I will need to dispute with my credit card company.

Weve gone ahead and canceled your subscription and refunded your $5 enrollment charge.     I was filling out a form for a $5 book and when I got to the page that said Id be charged $16.99 I exited without completing. It was a bait and switch. I had entered my credit card info. They will not allow me to cancel until the first renewal as they call it, and Ill be charged $16.99. This was a very dishonest method.

    I used the Book of The Month Refer a friend link, posted it to social media and according to their advertising and pushing of this, I should have a free credit on my account. I had a friend use this link to sign up. I have emailed Book of The Month twice to try to find an answer and I have gotten zero response from them. They also state on their site that they will answer in 24 to 48 hours. That has certainly not happened. I can find no phone number to call either.

When this happens, we cant track who referred them thus why the credit wasnt automatically added to your account. We found your account and added a credit for the referral. Thanks again!

    I became a Book of the Month Club member and paid for a year long membership roughly a year prior. I was never given a renewal notice and was charged for the next year up front. When I called trying to get the charges reversed they were able to reverse them, but cancelled the credits on my account that I had already paid for. They allowed me to pick new books to ship out, however, because they had cancelled my account, I could not see the book options to pick from. I would like a full refund of my money.

    Hi ******, we are so sorry to hear of any confusion and trouble you experienced with our annual renewal. In your case your annual membership renewed a year after you purchased an annual membership. When you are an annual member with Book of the Month you will renew either 12 months after the initial renewal, or once all 12 of your book credits have been used. Whichever comes first.

    Our agents already canceled and refunded the unused annual membership for you. I do see that you also had 7 book credits leftover from your previous annual renewal, and I have refunded the cost of those 7 unused book credits as a one time exception for you. You will see those funds back to your card on file 3-5 business days from 10/3/2022.
