    I paid Lincoln Business Machines (LBM) hundreds of dollars across multiple visits only to get false "fixes," the non-consensual removal and loss of my camera blocker, for **** to scorn me, and to be unable to use my laptop for nearly a year. I reached out to *** in May 2024 to address problems with my laptop screen / monitor, but that led to more and more problems. ***'s initial "repair" did not fix the problem, and **** (the only tech at the time among multiple staff) made the power button harder to use. I brought my laptop back and **** made the power button accessible again. After multiple visits back and forth (**** was not always available), and after **** complained about my settings like having a VPN (which he said was useless), he said that the motherboard had to be repaired or replaced, I cannot recall exactly. I came back to *** after he did that, and I noticed that my camera blocker was gone. I thought it was someone else's laptop. **** casually said that it was my laptop and that he may have removed the camera blocker while disassembling the laptop. It is extraordinarily odd and disrespectful to remove, disregard, and lose or throw away a customer's property, especially if the property is meant to ensure privacy. He didn't even apologize or offer to replace it. We could not log into the laptop to get it functioning, which had not previously been an issue. **** got angry when I tried every e-mail address I had to log into my ********* account. He kept asking if I had other e-mail addresses. The conversation ended with the conclusion that I had to call ********* to figure out how to log into my own laptop, which was never an issue until his prolonged and costly work. He did not offer help with that. I believe he said that we may have to transfer the data to a hard drive and use a new motherboard, but I could be wrong. I asked for a safe way to transport the motherboard, and **** gave me some kind of plastic bubble contraption. I still cannot use my laptop.

    At this time, I have not been contacted by Lincoln Business Machines Co. regarding complaint ID ********.

    They have a BBB sign on their door, suggesting that they care about being a responsible business and what BBB stands for, but they have not contacted me at all.
