Dear BBB:I went to the ******* Fashion Optical at *********** Street on 02/12/25 for an eye exam and new lenses in seven old frames. I had been sent a "50% off entire purchase" card by this location for my birthday month (the only exclusions were on two types of designer frames). From what I can tell, they charged me double the price of any other ******* Optical and THEN took the 50% off. I went to three other ******* to get estimates to confirm my suspicions (estimates are itemized in the email *** I have attached) . They also charged me $360 for a set of lenses that should have been free through my insurance. The total of this fiasco was $2360 which would mean that, without the discount, they would have charged me $4360 for six sets of lenses and a seventh which should have been free.I am a retiree on a tight budget. So, being subjected to this type of price scamming/gouging is very difficult for me. A detailed description of the entirety of my experience is attached in a *** copy of the email I sent to their corporate website.I have emailed them twice and gave them ten days between the emails to allow for adequate time for a response/resolution. And, I have waited another eight days for a response to my second email and still have received no response. It is fairly obvious that they have no plans to respond nor resolve the problem I had with this *********** now, not only was I subject to a 50% off scam, but their customer service is terrible. As you will see in the *** of the email, I asked them to refund me $1000.00 which I believe to be fair. In addition to the *** of the email I sent to corporate, I have also attached copies of the receipts for the seven sets of lenses that I had put in my old frames. Any help you can give me in, hopefully, getting a partial refund would be most appreciated. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.Sincerely,**** ***** ** ************ ** *************************
