    I am the victim of a scam.
    August 5th 2022
    $ 524.50
    I was approached by ****** ***** of ***************************** *Y
    with a proposal to republish one of my books. I am an author, there were two people involved one who claimed to be *** ***** he called me first, then began to text me making inquiries regarding one of my books called Timeless Kingdom. He texted me on and off all day, trying to convince me to accept help with promoting my book and I explained that I did not need any help. It lasted several hours, I have the text messages. Finally he said just trust the process let someone help you. About an hour later i received a phone call from ****** ***** which also had the same 917 area code from NY. She followed up asking me about the book and even signed up on my Academia website and downloaded a paper while she was on the phone with me. She sent me a list of packages for republishing the book. I did not ask for this help - they sought me out and solicited me. I agreed to a small contract i put down a down payment of $524.00. Then within a month I noticed that there were several charges on my card. one for $2000.00, then $ 500.00, then 250.00 this went on for almost a week with charges of over 3,200.00 on my credit card. At this point i grew very suspicious because I could not reach ****** ***** or anyone at Marshill Link LL. They continued to charge my card.

    i contacted credit card company and told them what was happening because they managed to take $250.00 from my credit card. Today I am writing because I believe it is a scam, I did not at first, I thought the vendor just made a mistake overcharging me at first. But today I tried calling the numbers of both people and the numbers are disconnected and not in service.

    I am filing a dispute and charge against the vendor who collected the money. The Credit card company and i attempted to reach out to them, but were not successful but we were able to reach Square who processed it.

    Early this year I received phone calls from the company urging me to republish a historical book, "Fish Culture in *************************". I sent the money. They did a pretty good job on the cover but they didn't complete it. They don't answer my emails or phone calls.
