Carhistoryusa.org has charged my card twice now, they're website says you can do a report by VIN for a dollar on a vehicle. It also gives you the option for a bunch of reports for ***** a month. First off, this is public knowledge, why on earth would anybody pay for that? They bought my data from another company and now they've charged me 50 dollars within the last month. I sent an email and they said I would see a refund in 3-5 days. That was October 28th and now that I've threatened to contact the *** and the BBB they will not reply.

    A) About 10 Oct 2022 I needed to know if my 2008 PontiacG6 was 4 or 6 cylinders. I went on the internet and asked that question, included my VIN also. One site (USVINREORDS.net) claimed it would get me a detailed report for my car (including 4.or.6 cylinder info) -- for only $1..00. I visited the site, requested the report (to include 4/6 cylinder info), and agreed to pay $1.00 for that report. Several things have happened since then (***BBB: after the 3 ***, look for my requested/desired resolution, and 'how'):1) I did get a report - it was 10+ pages, had a bunch of weird information on it and was double spaced. It did have some 'real' info about my car, but it 'did NOT' give me the cylinder info that I wanted and believed would be there. ***BBB: request the $1.00 charge that I agreed to ((the only charge that I agreed to), be refunded as I did not 'get' what the business said I would get.2) That same day, my bank contacted me about possible fraudulent charges by USVINRECONRDS on my card -- three different charges [1 for $1.00, 1 for $24.95, and one for .95 cents]. At the time, the only amount I had approved/agreed to/authorized was the $1.00. The other two charges were not agreed to by me. ***BBB: request that all three charges be reversed/refunded once and for all. The $24.95 and .95 cents on 11 Oct because I did not agree to those charges, and the $1.00 charge reversal because the report did not include the information that it claimed would be included.3) Since Oct 11th, various views of my online bank account show multiple changes happening with these charges - indicating things are still processing. However, I now see that there is a second charge of $24.95 on 21 Oct. ***BBB: Please get 'this' unauthorized charge refunded as well.4) This business does not do what it claims it will do, and then commits fraud by charging the consumer unauthorized amounts/fees. Use this info as a negative review for ***************** B. Thank you

CarHistoryINDIANA.online states the fee is $1.00, then my bank account was charged $23.95 & .95

On August 8, 2022 I went on the above company's website, carhistoryusa.org, and was given the option to purchase (1) car history report for $1. There was also an option for 30 car reports per month for 3 months at $24.95 per month. Because I was only interested in one car that was for sale (which I've purchased) I opted for just one report. Since then my credit card has not only been charged the $1 for the one report but also $24.95 3 times in the last 3 weeks. When I called their toll-free number I was told that I could cancel the account and that signing up for the $1 report automatically enrolled me in the $24.95 per month program. In addition, I never received any correspondence saying that I was enrolled in this program. I just started seeing debits once I received my bank statement. To me this is fraud. I desire a refund of the 3 payments for $24.95 that they have charged to my credit card.
