    This tailor charges very high prices and has shameful customer service. They hemmed the sleeves of a wool blazer for me and charged $75. After light wearing and no dry cleaning, one of the hems fell out. They refused to fix it because it was after 30 days. They said the $75 charge was justified because sleeves are "significantly more complex" than hems of pants. Your local dry cleaner can probably do a better job at a lower price.

    Hello - We would like to follow up with you regarding this review. First off, in your email to us regarding this issue, you indicated that you came into the shop for this alteration in 2022. We did not refuse to fix your sleeve, we only told you that this would not be a complimentary re-alteration due to the significant amount of time since you came in (over 2 years). In fact, our email back to you ends by saying "You're more than welcome to bring your jacket in for repair." Additionally, it is a fact that shortening sleeves on a jacket is significantly more complex than hemming pants, and $75 is industry standard for shortening sleeves on a wool blazer. Understand that your words have weight, and for you to call our customer service shameful is unjustified. We are a small business that employees highly skilled tailors, and we take great pride in our work at Shopboy. We have built a clientele of people who appreciate our work, the skill and personal touch that go into it, and we will continue to offer the highest quality jobs to those who choose to trust us.
