    Transaction Date: Jul 10, 2023 Money Paid: $709.44 The business committed to provide timely delivery of the product.The delivery time exceeded the timeframe provided by the company and the conditions of delivery were not met. AptDeco promised ***** hours of notice for the delivery, this was not met and the driver missed, multiple appointments I made to received the item.     Today I ordered a shelf on Apt Deco for the advertised price of 160 USD. Similarly to what a previous customer on this site has experienced the delivery fee was only visible after the credit card information had been entered and the purchase request had been submitted and was 350 USD. I have tried reaching Apt Deco to cancel this order, I cannot afford to pay 350 USD delivery for a 160 USD bookshelf. I see a previous case from April where the customer got a refund in this situation.

    I purchased an item on the website on 7/5 that was described as: Good: Minor blemishes that most people won't notice, when in fact there were rows of pieces missing that would cost be a couple of hundred of dollars to fix. I filed a dispute with the company as the item was misrepresented and they refused a partial refund, claiming the item photo indicated said defects when that is absolutely not the case. I would have never purchased this item had it been described accurately and its the responsibility of the company to rectify this matter. *******

    On 07/3/2023 I found an outdoor side table for $150 on the AptDeco site. I proceeded with the purchase, but only AFTER I entered my credit card information was it revealed that the final charge is $665.64, which includes a "white glove delivery service" that I never opted into. At no time prior to entering my credit card information were these additional charges displayed. Had I known the final charge, I would NEVER have proceeded with the order. I wrote both the seller and the company immediately after receiving this information to cancel my order and asking the seller to please not approve it, but I did not hear back from either of them. Today I got a notification "Congrats--your purchase has been approved". This is a scam. I noticed a very similar scam reported on this site and numerous other complaints and reviews on other sites for Aptdeco. Not being upfront about the delivery cost is dishonest, furthermost not giving the customer the option to cancel the order traps them into the purchase. I just want this order canceled and to let others no to be aware of the misleading practices of Aptdeco.

    I purchased a table with an expected delivery date that was confirmed by the business. On the date of delivery, I was notified by the business that it would be delivered between 11 AM and 3 PM. At 12 noon, roughly the business notified me that they would cancel my delivery and that I would not be receiving my table. At this point I had already paid $700 for the table and the delivery fee as well as service fees. I am now unable to get in touch with the company so they have affectively stolen my $700.

    I tried finding a customer service number to call as I really wanted to discuss my issue and there wasn't one on their website. My husband and I were shocked by how disappointed we are by the bed frame we purchased - an IKEA Hemnes with storage. While light damage is to be expected in second hand furniture, there were several larger flaws. Most egregiously, multiple structural parts missing. The majority of rods that ensure structural integrity were missing and most screws. At first we tried to push forward with assembling it but as we continued on, it was clear my husband would have to go out to purchase additional parts, adding to the cost of this product. This delayed our assembly which had already been delayed because our initially agreed upon delivery date was changed the morning-of and then a week later, it arrived 2 hours past the later parameter of of our delivery window. We also never received a link to the *** tracking as we'd been promised.When we reached out with this information, we were told we are not eligible for a refund because we didn't alert them within 24 hours of delivery. AGAIN, we were unable to fit assembly of our product into our schedule due to the multiple delays from AptDeco's end. They offered to send someone yet another week later to assemble the bed which is a paltry offering given the distress we've already been through.As you can imagine, we're incredibly disappointed and frankly quite sad. We had been really excited because we value both saving money but more importantly, shopping second hand in order to be more eco-friendly. I feel like I've been taken advantage of in both regards.

    Blue Sky amms *** sold a table on the AptDeco platform on April 21, 2023. The table was finally delivered to the buyer on May 15. After the delivery, the AptDeco portal had a pop up notification stating that a social security number for an individual was a requirement for payment. As no other option was available, I submitted my ***. AptDeco was immediately contacted requesting explanation as to why *** was required when the Business Tax ID and business bank account had already been provided (see email). The response from AptDeco rep ***** was, "Did you need to provide an ***?" AptDeco was again contacted requesting confirmation that the record of the sale is to the business, not to an individual's ***. ******'s response ignored the request for confirmation (see email), although she did send the business profile. (See snapshot) Stripe, the platform AptDeco uses for payments, advised that AptDeco handles their own Stripe account. Stripe cannot access the Blue Sky amms *** account unless I have access to the Stripe Express Dashboard. AptDeco has not provided me with a link for the Express Dashboard. The telephone number associated with AptDeco is simply a recording that provides the ******************************* email or a chat option for submitting a certificate of insurance. The customer support email interaction is unprofessional and lackluster creating a very poor customer experience.My requests to ****** for confirmation that Blue Sky amms *** is the seller of record have been ignored. The following pr***ipals of AptDeco: ***********************, ***********************, *************** have been contacted with no response. I look forward to receiving specific confirmation that the *** requested in order to receive payment is not to be used for any and all tax purposes related to this sale. The table was sold by the business entity Blue Sky amms *** and not by the individual connected to the ***. Thank you *********************

    I purchased a couch on 4/26/2023 for what was listed as a sectional couch, display photos and title stated it was a sectional couch. On 5/9/2023 I decided to look back at the listing and as I was digging through saw there was one photo of a love seat and one note that the chaise is missing. I immediately reached out to Aptdeco and asked them to cancel my purchase as I am not interested in a sectional missing a chaise and the fact I had to dig through the listing to find this information is intentionally deceptive and misleading but they refused. Its 5/27/2023 and my purchase is still pending pick up and I will not be home from the next 3 weeks so in the event the couch gets delivered I wont be home and will be charged for storage and redelivery when the estimated delivery date was between 5/8/2023 - 5/16/2023. This has been the worst furniture experience Ive ever had and do not know how they are allowed to get away with such bad consumer practices.

    I used AptDeco to sell a bed. On April 19th, a furniture delivery company hired by AptDeco came to my apartment to pick up the bed that was going to be transported to a buyer in ******. During transport, the delivery company inappropriately handled the bed and this resulted in the bed's upholstery being extremely soiled. When the buyer received it, she complained about the soiling and AptDeco acknowledged that their delivery team caused the soiling but determined that somehow this was my fault. They decided to hold my payment unless I gave the buyer a discount, and for the past few weeks I have explained to them over and over that I will not take responsibility for the soiling that was caused by the company that they hired, but they still refuse to release my payment.

    On March 31, I received a BoConcept chair I purchase online for $875. The item was to have no noticeable damage or marks. It came with ********* and damage and I documented it and made an immediate complaint with the seller and Aptdeco. The seller immediately said he would take the item back. Aptdeco said they need to hear from the seller. The seller just wrote to me yesterday- April 12- and said he has written to Aptdeco 6 times and no response. So the seller and buyer have agreed to a refund but Aptdeco is ignoring both of us- despite photos supporting my case. They conveniently do not permit you to call Aptdeco- just an email that seems to go nowhere, get no response. They say a week to 10 days to resolve an issue- its been 2 weeks and there is no sign of communication since saying theyd contact the seller. I want the chair picked up and I want a full refund- based on the fact that the item is damaged and does not match its description. It is a completely valid complaint according to the guidelines set forth by Aptdeco.
