  Horrible company and customer service. They just tell lies. I recently had an issue because I was not getting hot water. The next morning I called Depew. A tech came out and said there was nothing wrong and did not charge anything. He spent the majority of his time talking to my husband about his personal life then the reason why we called . He told my husband that he had to write up an Estimate just because that is a requirement of his job and he is obligated to do so. Never once did he indicate that there was an issue with the tanks. We get an email of the estimate which would cost over $8,000. Then I just got a bill for a charge for the day of service when he did absolutely nothing. I contact Depew and they tell me it the service call fee. It gets removed by service manager approval. The original email I received mentioned nothing as to why I was getting charge $157 dollars. When I look again at the updated email it states that they will no longer be making oil deliveries unless I get new oil tanks. This company only works on not being upfront with you when they send out the tech and then tries to force you to make expensive changes try to hold that over you until you give into them by being in debt and allowing them control. Dont get sucked in by them. I will not be staying as a customer and I suggest to think twice before becoming or staying with them.

  On February2 2023- I signed and paid for a full service contract with Depew Energy of ******** **. I have been purchasing this service for many years and using Depew Energy for oil and Propane for at least 15 years. However in the past 2/3 years I noticed their prices have gone up significantly. I am now retired and live on a fixed income. After "shopping around", I found a another company who was much cheaper for oil! Consequently, I decided to go with them. Prior to this I had made numerous phone calls to make sure my YEARLY SERVICE CONTRACT WAS STILL VALID! I was assured that this again CONTRACT was valid until February2, ****! I was even convinced (validated) of this when a Depew serviceman came to my house in early December of 2023! Three weeks later, I had no hot water!(So much for a cleaning done properly!!!!) I called Depew and spoke with ****** who informed me, since I officially went with another company, my service CONTRACT was no longer valid. Isn't the point of a contract to ensure good service to the consumer? I would encourage that anyone with any common sense stay away from Depew Energy ! I've also been told, this company is actually not Depew Energy, but has sold out to at least two Corporate Companies. So much for keeping it local. I will do everything in my power to convince anyone I personally know to no longer use these crooks!I will also attempt more formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau associated with the "new" corporate entities. This will also include the ******** ************************ if possible

  I have an oil heat system and Depews Dont be fuelish plan that I renewed last spring. I had a regular cleaning performed this week and got an added invoice for fuel surcharge and environmental disposal fee that added to ****. This is a first for me since I have been using depew for the last 10+ years. I paid The invoice but am extremely disappointed that they would be so *****. Cleanings have always been covered and I was never billed for the disposal of an old filter and to boot fuel prices are less now than they were in the spring so the added fuel surcharge is a form of extortion.I am seriously considering changing service providers in the future.
