    Health System Services has doubled billed me and charged me for items I have paid for. This has happened countless times over the years. They always complain its a poor billing system. Just recently I was charged for $35 for equipment from 2022. It's always something with this company.

    Health System Services apologizes for the inconvenience caused to Ms. ********. While it is true that her advance payments have been applied to services other than the ones she intended to pay for, she was never "double billed". The reason she was recently charged for a 2022 service is because when she complained, our representative went to great lengths to re-apply all of her payments over a number of years so they matched the correct date of service.
    When someone pays out of pocket for an item rather than going through insurance, our policy is to collect payment at the time of service. This can cause problems when the payment is posted to our system before the claim is processed. The system does not know where to post the money, so it applies it to the oldest outstanding claim. This is what happened in this case.
    To remedy this issue, we will no longer require advance payment from Ms. ******** for out of pocket services. She has been a good customer for quite a while and has proven that she pays her bills. So, she can receive the supplies she needs and will not have to pay for them until we send her an invoice.
    We have notified Ms. ******** of this arrangement and hope that she is satisfied with it.
