Regarding Account Number ********* for patient *************************, date of service 4/24/2023 I received a bill from the hospital in the amount of $2480.93. I had called the billing department to appeal the charges for the way the bill was coded. In addition, I explained to them that nobody attended to my son ***** when he came in via ambulance for a concern we had with a potential allergic reaction. We waited in a patient room for an hour before anyone attended to us, which at that point, it was clear that he was not having an allergic reaction. I explained this to the staff and asked why they were charging me $2480 if they did not even bother to see us to check if he was ok upon arriving. Instead of formally responding to my appeal via phone call, email, or sending another bill, the hospital sent my bill to collections. We were not treated appropriately at the hospital, not were we treated appropriately when we were billed. I do not appreciate how south nassau hospital has handled this situation.

I want to make a complaint against Mt. Sinai South Nassau regarding ************ ********/Acct *********. I incurred a medical bill for $257.87 and started to make payments towards it, when I found out the doctor's ****** sent my lab work to Mt. Sinai instead of *********** I spoke to a supervisor named ***** who said the bill could be reviewed. On April 22, 2022, I spoke to ********* who told me the account was on hold, and I did not need to make any payments until the matter was resolved. I called the company multiples times and every time I was told the account was in review. I spoke to ***** on May 3rd, ***** on May 20th, Cece on June 8th, ***** on June 30th, and ***** on August 24th. On November 2nd, I received a letter from POM recoveries stating I had until October 28th to dispute all or part of the debt. The letter was from a collection agency and was sent to a prior address that I just happened to still pick up mail from. On November 2nd, I spoke with ****** who stated the account was still in review. The account was still in review, yet the bill was sent to a collection agency which made no sense. On November 3rd, I spoke to a supervisor named ********* who stated she would request that the debt be pulled back from the collection agency. On November 4th, I spoke to ******* from POM recoveries and disputed the amount. I wrote a letter to *********************** from Mt. ***** who is the Director of the call center complaining about the treatment I had received with no response. For approximately the last 2 months I have been in contact with ********* who has been trying to resolve the situation. She calls me weekly with an update, but it has not been resolved. Last week I made a partial payment and may continue to do so. It has been almost a year since all of this started, and I believe I have been more than patient. I am hoping reaching out to the BBB will force Mt. Sinai to resolve the situation. Thank you for your time. *****************************
