Upon turning on electrical service on from outside meter to inside breaker panel, there was a 220 volt surge through the entire electrical system taking out the furnace electronics and fan motor. We had the furnace repaired but feel it was the fault of the electrician, electrical inspector **** ********, or the manufacturer ***** *****. None of which will take responsibility for it.

    Business Response

Bonacci Electric, LLC was hired to install a 200 amp electrical service from the meter to the manufactured home. After installation and inspection, customer went to turn on inside panel and there was a short circuit on the lighting and furnace circuit.  This resulted in some damage to light fixtures and furnace.  We did not install or wire anything within the manufactured home.  However, I was asked by the homeowner to see if I could see any possible cause.  After an inspection, it appeared everything in the panel and what I could see was wired correctly by the manufactuer.  I advised the homeowner that what has gone wrong had nothing to do with our work, we were only responsible for the new service.  I advised her due to the fact that the manufactured home was brand new that she should call the company (***** *****) as this issue should be covered by warranty.  I advised her that I did not want to pursue any further as I did not want to void any warranty issues.  All of our work was inspected and certified by an independent licensed electrical inspector that is required by ******** **** power and also NEC code.  I was further surprised by being named in this complaint as I have tried to be more than helpful advising the customer in how to proceed and my thoughts of what could be the issue.  I have repsponded to every call and even gone back to the site to speak and help the customers to try to guide them on how to proceed with their claim as we feel that this was an issue within the homes interior wiring that may have shorted out. This was an unfortuante situation for the customer, however Bonacci Electric, LLC stands by their work and has gone over and above assisting the customer.
