I was looking to sell some old gold and silver coins my uncle had left me a few years previous. I was always hesitant to bring them anywhere since I did not know anything about them and didn’t want to get ripped off. While searching the BBB most of the companies I found were not accredited which I didn’t feel comfortable with. Once I came across South Bay Galleries’ page I knew I found the right company. I called, made an appointment and brought my things in. They took the time to look at my items, make an inventory list, price out each piece individually and even showed me exactly how they made their evaluations on the coins. They had complete transparency which I appreciated. There was zero pressure and told me to think it over since they were my uncle’s and to let them know if I decided I wanted to sell. I gave it a few days and stopped into a couple of other local coin shops and was blown away away by the difference in offers, South Bay Galleries offer was close to double of what other places offered. Needless to say I went back to South Bay Galleries and sold the coins and could not be happier with the whole experience. I’ve even started my own coin collection since and even though I moved from NY to CA I still continue to do business with them and only them. Highly recommended and highly appreciated.

I’ve been a customer of South Bay Galleries for over a year now, and I can honestly say they are one of the best in the business.
Whether you’re a casual collector or a serious investor, this company offers something for everyone.
The selection of coins is outstanding, with everything from rare collector’s items to high-quality bullion. Each product I’ve purchased has arrived exactly as described, and the attention to detail is evident in the craftsmanship.
I especially appreciate how transparent they are about pricing—no hidden fees or unexpected costs, which makes a huge difference when making large purchases.
Customer service is top-notch. I had a few questions about my recent order, and their team responded quickly and professionally.
They really take the time to ensure you’re satisfied and knowledgeable about your purchases.
The website is easy to navigate, and I’ve never had any issues with orders or shipping.
Everything has arrived on time and securely packaged. I also love that they provide tracking on all orders, which gives me peace of mind.

I can't say enough about South Bay Galleries customer service and account managers. I contacted them for a second opinion on some coins I was looking to sell. I told them what I was quoted and that it sounded like a fair offer. They could have easily agreed or offered me a little bit more but instead they gave me the true value which was almost double of what I was offered elsewhere. This just goes to show their honesty and integrity and I am so grateful. They provided me with so much information and advised me on how to properly get the values on my coins. What a breath of fresh air working with the team at South Bay Galleries! Unmatched knowledge, support and professionalism. Buying and selling is always such a breeze and enjoyable experience. I got so fed up will all of the dealers I was working with that always made false promises and overcharged. The team at South Bay Galleries are a great source of knowledge and information. Their customer service, integrity and ethics are phenomenal! Very happy with my experience from start to finish. ****** was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail to me. He answered all of my questions and even sent me an email with additional information. My package arrived in two days nicely packaged and came with paperwork with all the details on the coins I purchased. I have been doing business with them ever since and never looked back. I stopped purchasing from all other dealers once I started price checking them against South Bay Galleries and they were always able to offer me the coins for less, a lot less! So very glad I came across this company a few years back, it has been nothing less than excellent service and products every time I have done business with South Bay Galleries. The time they took explaining and educating me on the different products in the market really helped me understand much better making me much more confident about buying. They have made me feel at ease since day one knowing I have a broker and company with extensive knowledge in the industry. The attention to detail every step of the way is a nice change from past companies I have worked with.
