    4-24-2024 Took my 2007 Mercury Monterey Luxury to AAMCO in *********, ** on ****************** needed a transmission.Final price was $4,261.38 They referred me to the credit company, Koalafi. The guy at the shop pulled their card out of his desk and said I can use these people and they will check your credit.They take all my information, including bank information right there at the Aamco Patchogue.They were going to notify me by mail or phone when the first payment was due. I got no such notice. ****** went ahead and took $500 out of the account.Now, they are charging me over 9K and stating that I needed to pay it within 90 days. I have no idea why I was referred to the Koalfi lending company. I want to pay for the services rendered by Aamco, but feel as if I was deceived. I will pay what I owe, but double the cost of the repairs is extortion.

    I took my Car in for estimate on 10/06/2022 and toinquire about financing. they repaired my vehicle without an estimate or authorization. i had to consistently call them. to get updates and they did more work to the car. i never saw or was told an estimate just prices of work that was done. I was told a week later that i could pick up my vehicle for $220 above the financing. upon getting corporate involved i could just pay with financing at 200% interest or within 90 days. I just wanted diagnostics and an estimate no more. I have been advised that a lien will be placed on my vehicle if i don't remit payment. my evidence is recorded phone conversations on their phone. i was never presented with any paperwork.
