    Meron Properties manager Jason ******** is improperly retaining my security deposit based on demonstrably false claims. We have a paper trail to back up our claims, as well as individuals who have been similarly swindled by Meron Properties. We were not told the time or date of their exit inspection nor were we present at the inspection they claim to have made before our entry. When we approached them directly, we received a hastily written and self-contradictory text saying in essence that they could have done worse to us. My wife and I are both seniors and disabled and have been preyed on by a company hiding behind computers. Their notices are never signed and have no contact information on them. Please scratch the surface of this company that has caused pain and grief with its cavalier attitude toward people, and you will find that their A+ rating is, like their apartments, just cheap veneer.

    We have 236 rental units and have been in business for over 40 years. As the complaint stated we did not charge them for damages beyond their security deposit when we could have. Due to damage caused by this tenant(s) we had to replace all 3 kitchen appliances, major repairs to kitchen cabinets that were brand new right before this tenant moved in. In addition to the damages these tenants brought cockroaches to our building when moving in which was discovered when surrounding units notified us. When we made access to this unit back in April 2023 to treat the cockroaches, we were forced to put affected tenants up in a local hotel. What we discovered was mountains of trash, food and feces. Our 3 person crew filled an 8 yard dumpster prior to treatment of this unit. Being in business over 40 years we have never had a single cockroach in any of our buildings. As this complaint stated they are elderly and disabled and are not able to maintain a household without assistance. Hence why we are not moving forward with any financial recover beyond their security deposit because we truly feel bad for this couple. Thank you for your time. Meron Properties

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. The statements made by Meron are largely irrelevant to the issue at hand, i.e., the withholding of our security deposit. However it is clear Meron will continue to reply with slander. There is no room in their correspondence for compromise, so we request the BBB close this case unresolved. We will proceed in another venue.
