July 2021- brought 2005, 2500HD Diesel to Ryan E******* owner of Espo Diesel Performance. wanted a rebuilt transmission, tune, glow plugs, lift pump and exhaust -bill was $10,396 cash-I paid it. Did not get any original parts back as requested.
July 2022 bc transmission was not right and failed. They broke a glow plug off and then had to send the head to a machine shop, ripped the fire wall in my engine bay when they took the cab off and did not fix it. They spray painted my engine block, used a piece of hose and clamp so exhaust would not fall off the hanger. All in all very shabby work - bill was $10,667 cash- I paid it. Did not fix rear pinion seal so I had to pay another mechanic the following April when I took it out of storage. cost $712.
With less than 3,000 miles on this work, transmission slipped and went into limp mode.
July 2023-Brought it back to Espo and he temporarily fixed it. Bill was $1,450 with a typed note that his work was not warrantied bc I did not have him replace transmission harness. I told him to order it and replace so I could have his work warrantied. He told me he was refusing to do any more work to this truck and to not return to his business and would not be taking any more money from me.
August 21, 2023 I brought it by flatbed trailer, to a diesel mechanic in VT who replaced the blown turbo that Espo put in and fixed inter cooler. Out of the 3 summers I have owned this vehicle, I have put less than 3,000 miles on it due to it being at Espo Diesel for so many summer weeks. I am requesting he reimburse me the $3,900 that I had to pay to fix only some of his mess ups and shady work. For what I have spend with him, he should warranty his work, give me the parts that he took off my truck, not refuse to complete a job and cover some of the expense it has cost me ($3,900 plus $712= $4,612) I have receipts for all work done to this truck.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/13/2023

To Whom It May Concern,We would like to start out by saying this customer is making
false accusations about our small business.
We have all the documentation and a timeline to prove this. There is no
need to slander or attack a small business out of emotion. This is irrational
and extremely immature. This is the first of ever hearing about these allegations
and “Shady” work. Mr. ****** refuses to admit that the $10,000 invoices were
his decision to increase the horsepower of his vehicle. Both of which included aftermarket
high-performance parts that almost always void all warranties. We have been more than courtesy with Mr. ****** helping him
in many ways. We warrantied our work for any problem(s) that may have arisen at
NO CHARGE. We towed his truck at NO CHARGE. We even allowed him to take
delivery of his vehicle and then make payments against the invoices due to lack
of funds. NO PENALTIES or LATE FEES. Multiple discounts were also given to Mr.
****** in the sum of $2,702.21. Invoices attached. The transmission repair bill in the amount of $1450.00 was
refunded out of good faith due to a misunderstanding. We voided the check and
mailed it back to Mr. ******. However, the check was returned to the sender. (We
do have the check to prove it was voided). We did this to try yet again
to please this customer. Mr. ****** was notified multiple times that his truck
had underlying electrical issues which our Company repaired at NO COST. We as a business made the group decision to no longer work
on Mr. ******’s vehicle due to constant harassment from his family members.
This was discussed with Mr. ****** when he recently came to us with his turbo
malfunction. Mr. ****** was very understanding and left without any
altercation.Mr. ****** then had his truck towed to VT to have his turbo replaced
that we initially installed. The new turbo we installed came with a 1-year
Manufactures Warranty which has expired. This is out of our control regarding
his “issues” with the Turbo. For our Company to be harassed regarding an issue
we have no control over is unacceptable. Please see attached Warranty
Information on Turbo. In conclusion we feel we have done more than enough for Mr.
****** and have never refused to complete a job. There is no pleasing Mr.
****** and or his Parents. To provide any sort of “compensation” for Labor
please provide documentation from the Diesel Mechanic in VT regarding our
      “shady” work.
