    Derrick R****** was contacted regarding a queen sized mattress. He included in writing to me that the mattress was $250.00 and all he needed was $25 down payment and an active checking account number. I set up the appointment and said my husband would stop by just to pick it up. My husband returned home and gave me a piece of paper written by Derrick R****** with a total of $928 for the mattress. I immediately contacted him and told him he told us it was $250 and i was not paying $1000 for a ****** mattress. He then proceeded to say my uncle ripped him off once and that’s what I get and he refused the return of the item and now has my husbands social security number and it goes through a snap finance program. He has now blocked me and is refusing to allow the mattress to go back and told me too bad that I have to deal with the 1-800 number if I want anything done. This is completely false advertising and should not be happening!! Several people have also said this has happened to them and then they are stuck with a $1000 mattress to pay for because they don’t want their credit affected. Something needs to be done with this scamming guy!!!!

    BBB spoke with owner who said that the consumer never came in the store. The husband picked out a higher end mattress and agreed to the amount on the receipt. Sales are final.

    Better Business Bureau:  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  That is not true. He told me the price and I gave him my information and he said that was all he needdd form me and told me it was $250. when my husband signed for it, he never sent us with any paperwork and only gave him a 1-800 number and my husband picked the mattress up and left with no information other then just picking it up. As soon as i called the 1-800 number it said I owed $2,000.00. I immediately told the owner I was returning the mattress 15 minutes after getting it and he refused to let us return it. Now he is saying we CAN return it but will still owe the money. It was a complete scam and not the price I was given in writing.   Regards,  ****** ****
