I cancelled my gym membership in person a the The Port Chester Crunch gym on March 18, 2024 due to medical issues. I turned in my pass and the manager confirmed with me by email that my membership was cancelled on that date. They did not cancel my membership and am getting charged monthly. I followed up in good faith by emails/phone calls to make sure the communication was clear and that my membership was cancelled. There has never been a resolution. It is May 23, 2024 and since my credit card does not allow payment from this vendor, I am now daily harassed with emails that my payment for my active membership has been declined. As a senior citizen and someone who is having ongoing medical procedures, I do not have the time or stamina to continue fighting with Crunch Fitness in order to stop their fraudulent billing attempts. The account was cancelled per the March 18, 2024 confirmation and I want this issue settled with no further contact from the Port Chester Crunch gym.

I cancelled my gym membership December 29, 2022. The Port Chester Crunch gym did not cancel my membership and I was still getting charged monthly. I sent documents where I requested to cancel my account numerous times and they do not cancel it. I called my credit card and asked them to not allow payment from this vendor. Now I receive daily emails that my payment for my active membership has been declined. I want the account cancelled and want no contact from the Port Chester Crunch gym.

I went to cancel my membership on April 30th, 2023. I was told that I needed to pay the Annual Fee of $59.99 in order to cancel the membership. My membership fees were automatically taken out from a credit card. When Crunch tried to take out the Annual Fee, my credit card company flagged this as fraudulent and did not allow the transaction to be completed. I asked the Manager ********************* when the fee was due, he informed me it was due the day before on April 29th. I tried to explain to him that I hadn't been using the gym, (which can be seen by when I scan in) and felt that paying an Annual Fee for a service that I'm not going to be using is ridiculous. Especially since the fee was due less then 24 hours before I was canceling the membership. I was told this is how things are and that nothing can be done about it. I expressed my frustration at the Crunch company policy and did not believe it is warranted to be paying an Annual Fee for something I am not using. The Annual Fee is something paid for the upcoming year and not the previous year. So basically I was forced to pay this Annual Fee in order to cancel the membership. Again, a fee that was due less then 24 hours before I tried to cancel for a service I will not be using. Therefore, I am asking that I be refunded the $59.99 that I was charged.
