    I hired ***************************** of Above and Beyond Garage Doors to repair my garage door. ******************** took a $300 deposit. ******************** failed to return to fix the door and failed to return phone messages/voice mails and text messages. He now refuses to return the down payment.

    In June I contacted Above and Beyond Garage Doors (**********************************) with a request to replace my garage door opener.Please see my text message thread - Mehner2.png and Mehner2a.png. *****************************, owner of the company, was to come to perform the service on Friday, June 24, 2022. I sent him my name and address, along with the specifics of my request.After not arriving on Friday, we agreed that he would come on Saturday. We spoke on the phone on the morning of Saturday, June 25. He said he was going to buy the garage door opener, and come to my house within the hour. He also requested that I send him $200 to buy the unit, since he was short on cash. I sent this to him via Zelle from my bank account, which he accepted the same day - see ********png.He never came to my house that day, and I did not receive any contact from him over the weekend.After several attempts to call, I left him a voice mail message on Monday, June27, telling him I was cancelling this work and wanted my money refunded.He replied with an apology, and said he would return the $200 when he got home. This is the last communication I received from him.I have since submitted 3 requests for payment through Zelle. The first 2 expired, unopened, after 2 weeks. See Mehner3.pgn, Mehner4.png and Mehner5.png.I sent him several text messages requesting my refund, and they were unanswered as well.I appreciate your assistance in this matter.
