Date of Transaction: 6/15/24 Amount: Original price ******** The transaction was made via ****** services which makes 24 monthly payments in total 6.381.44 Business commitment: 12 month program to learn music (electric guitar)Nature of Dispute: After two weeks of start of the program on July 15th, 2024, I saw no real value in the program and wanted to cancel. However I waited to see if there might be a change and there was none. I have high demanding job and family responsibilities and it was directly relayed to the business that a program with extreme detailed planning and goals is what I expect. Upon week 6th I asked for cancel and refund. After three times back and forth, the business refused to do a refund, claiming it is past 6 weeks. However I was not notified in any form that for cancellation, it should be upon 6th week. I am asking for refund. The business upon my filing dispute with the bank, offered me the sum up to ******** conditioned to me to drop my dispute. I refused and would like to have refund of ******** It has nothing to do with advertising. A set of goals presented and none delivered. As a costumer I see no point in wasting time and money for 12 months.

Client bought one-year rock/metal guitar program for $4,800 via Klarna. Client was given access to program at time of purchase on June 15th 2024. Client and owner spoke for 2 hours face to face in zoom so client can have full clarity on the program. Client was specifically told about 1-year commitment, how the program works and is self-paced with guidance given by instructor and was given a direct preview of the course immediately upon purchase so they could know it was right for them.

Client consumed video lessons and reached out to instructor for help and help us was given, with client stating: "I will dedicate myself to this."

Client was told success in the program and on guitar is dependent consistency on their ability to follow course guidelines. After having access to program for 45 days, client asked for refund outside of any legally defined refund period in *****************, or ***************

Owner reminded client of 1-year commitment and offered a 1 on 1 talk/lesson to help client breakthrough barriers and help organize their practice client insisted on cancellation and refund. Owner notified client of time-passed and the legal refund rules in *****************, **************, and the State of ********, where client resides.

Client opened payment dispute with bank, where funds are taken out of owner's account automatically. Owner offered $2000 refund and a withdrawal of dispute. Client rejected offer and insisted upon $4500 refund. Client mistakenly claims $4600 in filed complaint.

Proof of access and communication are given.

    Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

During the initial two hour zoom conversation and after in any sense after that, the *** never mentioned ways and means of cancellation. *** promised set of goals which turned out to be snake oil. If you check the first video of the class, about one hour it consists of someone in the program dealing with medicine and medication.

I am a TV field reporter in ** and I should have known better but the promise of the program never materialized and never offered. I see no reason to spend one year time and energy for something from day one it was fishy.

The only reason that I stayed in the program till the fourth week, was to see if anything changes. Upon the same old fashion snake oil approach, I requested cancellation. I wanted to do it faster, but for one week I was away for work in ********* *********, covering Republican National Convention.

I asked for cancellation on Aug 6th in writing. *** responded on Aug 7th on why I want to cancel (All messages are available to present upon request). I insisted to cancel and if there is a need for conversation like feedback, I will give if after. Upon my insistence and on Aug 8th, *** sent me another message on Why I want to cancel. I just responded I am not sure this is what I am signed up for. *** response was I cannot initiate a refund. I reported the issue to Klarna and also BBB in ** as well. It is a snake oil business and I have no intention to spend any money on this. I am a TV field reporter in ** and I should have known better, but the promises from the provided never materialized and I cannot spent one year in frustration and waste of time and money.

As a consumer I have my rights too and I just exercised it within reason.
