Bombino Express is a courier service. The tracking number indicates the international courier was delivered on June 18th. It has not. I have complained multiple times. They have not acted upon it, no feedback or resolution If the issue involves advertising, when and where the ad was seen or heard - No

      Better Business Bureau: (*********************)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Bombino's response reflects that they are trying to settle the claim based on the value of materials declared on the shipment. But the value of the shipment is mentioned towards a fair customs duty at the destination side. The value is never mentioned considering what will be the overall damage if the package is lost.

As I have mentioned in my original message, the pieces of clothes were blouse pieces extracted from the respective designer sarees. Now that the blouse pieces are lost, there are only two ways to recover from that,-

      (1) Get a replacement of the blouse pieces exactly as the saree design provided. OR

      (2) Get the replacement sarees themselves (Please note that a shop will never cut the blouse pieces from a replacement saree to help me, but another saree can be obtained from same shop with the picture of the sarees sent)

As Bombino (and Express Courier) lost the package at their ignorance (We have full sequence of events to demonstrate that they ignored the complaint for around 8-9 days and only after that they woke up), they must try their best to compensate in a way that I can recover from the loss of replacement. I provided a very low end estimate of $5000 for those 20 sarees though prices have gone up since they were originally purchased. It must be noted that there was not a single scan of the bar code corresponding to AWB# as there was simply no tracing. That is equivalent to someone stealing at the origin side.

Bombino is treating their customer like beggars by giving $100 and their logic is declared value. But I explained the purpose of the declared value. If I declared the value as the price of 20 sarees, that will be misrepresentation of shipment content. The sarees came from *****, the blouse pieces were cut from my side (**********) and then mailed to ***** via Bombino. Then what value is expected to be declared (Cannot be the whole saree price)? So does this make any sense at all to just $100 as compensation for this?

Kindly convey this to Bombino and also note that we will  write a complete sequence of happening to Consumer Forum within a week.

      Thank you

      Sincerely

      *****************

In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

      Sincerely,

ive, but the problem is that once they are lost, they cannot be replaced unless the original sarees are purchased. Today I wrote to them today that if they will not search and rather settle the claim then they should compensate by paying $5,000 plus shipment charges ($135) so that sarees can be replaced. I informed them that I will file complaint with BBB as well as they did not really attended to me request to search thoroughly. I want the help of BBB to place this message in their profile with you and ask them on my behalf that either they should find the package or pay me the amount indicated. My most optimum resolution is to locate the package sincerely and ship it or send back to me along with shipment charge. The other option is to compensate with $5000 (for sarees) and $135 for shipment.

      Dear BBB Team,

*** ***************** has dropped one shipment under AWB # ********* to our agent location on 9th March 2023 to be delivered in *****. Unfortunately, there are no scans on the shipment from the day it was dropped, *** ***************** had raised the concern of no scans on the shipment, as we received the complaint we as per company policy we initiated a tracer to locate the shipment, we did our store and warehouse search, but it turned out to be negative, second search was initiated with destination team also to check in case if the shipment could have been bagged unmanifested but that also turned out to be negative.

As *** ***************** claims the value of the shipment is $ **** same was not declared at the time of booking and she has confirmed the declaration by confirming the value of the shipment being $ 58 and signing the same. Attached is the copy for BBB reference.

As per company policy we will issue a claim check of $ 100 + shipping charges paid at the time of booking.

Hope this resolves the case from our end.

      Better Business Bureau Team.
We would like to once again state that we have done all our research right from the origin to destination and to multiple locations where the load has been sent on that particular day but unfortunately it has turned out to be negative and we have no option but to issue a loss claim.
We have shared all the relevant documents which *** ***************** has shared at the time of booking the shipment and signed the same which confirm the value of the shipment and also have signed the declaration which clearly states the value has to be shared as original and not to under invoice.
The shipment with the declared value of $ 58 when lost suddenly turns out to be 100 times more valuable which cannot be accepted.
At this time we confirm there will be no change in the claim and can close it by issuing a claim of $ 100 + shipping charges.
