On 8/23/2024 I was given a ledger that stated I was behind on rent in the amount of $1,785. On 8/26/2024, I visited the leasing office with the receipts to provide proof that the amount stated on said ledger was incorrect. Property manager, Sheila S******, questioned her own signature and demanded a “real” receipt because she stated she did not sign the receipt but took it anyway and made a copy of receipt.
I contacted the main office at Norton village and left a detailed message to “Victor” who called me back on 8/27/2024 stating that after checking the ledger, the month owed was now not July or August but may. I have another letter from Sheila that states Mays rent as paid and only owing the late fee.

I want justice and want their fraud exposed because this is not the first time I am receiving incorrect information about the amount owed and I actually have receipts to back up that I made the rental payment.

We are receipt of the below complaint and have reviewed our payment history with this residents which still reflects what she was told by the office and Victor R*****.  We would be happy to review her canceled checks/bank statement or money order receipts to see if there was an error made on our part.  Should we reach out to her directly or does this request need to go through the BBB to show efforts to resolve?

My apartment unit is infested with mice in which I have been co.plaining about since this past February. They didn't get an exterminator until late may in which they came twice and the problem still has not been fixed in fact the infestation has gotten worse. I let the exterminator ls know where they were coming from and they still did not go in there properly. I'm continuing sending videos of the mice running around I have asked to be placed in a different unit and or to lower my rent and both were denied. It has become a health Hazzard and no one is caring enough for me and my daughter living with families of mice. Please get me out of here

      Business Response

      Date: 06/13/2024

Dear BBB, In response to the complaint #********, Ms. ******** has
reported a mouse issue in her unit.  First reports of this came in April
17, 2024,  maintenance responded same day with setting up traps and scheduling
an exterminator. We have had the building and her unit treated twice since and the
exterminators  are scheduled again on June 20th, 2024 to
treat the property.  Treatments have to be spaced in order for to give
time for each treatment to work.   Rochester Management is making all efforts to resolve this
issue and we have contracted the best exterminator in town.  As soon as
this issue was reported to the property office RMI responded right away to
begin rectifying the issue.  This pest problem is not just present at her
complex but the surrounding neighborhood as well.    We currently do not have a vacant unit to offer her for a
transfer and have offered her a no-penalty early lease release if she desires
to relocate. Please let me know if you need any other information to
clear this matter. Thank you, Jennifer F******, Rochester Management, Manager of Operations ###-###-####

I applied to move to Brighton Towers a senior living housing around May 2022 and applied for a subsidy that is given to those with low income and a smoke free apartment. I provided all paperwork before moving in on 6/30/2022, yet I didn't get my lease, I didn't get my subsidy either and there's smoke from neighbors in my apartment and I am paying the whole rent of $493 per month which is lot for me. I was promised to get a subsidy by the second month yet I got none and when I tried to find out what happened Lisa B******* said I refused it. I never refused the subsidy and I want to get it for the second month (August), third month (September, and forth month (October). I also told them (Jennifer F****** and Lisa B*******) that I want to move out because of the smoke and the side effects it has on me and Lisa B******* gave me a hard time. First of all I don't have a lease after almost 4 months, I didn't get a subsidy and have lots of smoke in my apt not as promised. I want my subsidy for August, September and October 2022. I am still preparing to move out because of health reasons. I got my rent reduced in previous senior living where I paid $241 (Rochester) and $118 (Herkimer). I never refused any subsidy from any place and I have a low income that qualifies me for a subsidy. In all other housing facilities the subsidy was given right away and even was applied to the security deposit. So in Rochester, NY housing where the rent was $870 per month I paid $241 in rent and security deposit from the beginning. The same happened at the Herkimer, NY hosing and Little Falls, NY housing.
I never refused the subsidy and Lisa B******* is lying.
Brighton Towers application says is smoke free on the first and second floors and I live on the second floor apt 205 yet smoking rules are not enforced neither are complaints. I complained about not getting a subsidy to the ******** ******* ********* Aisha and she did nothing.
