On October 17, 2022 Payless Cesspool, Sewer & Drain arrived at my house to clean the cesspool. They requested a bucket to catch the overflow. The overflow spread through my basement damaging my property. The owner responded by sending Spartan Restoration. Spartan restoration arrived & treated the smell. The following day ******* returned to clean my basement & removed my damaged property from the basement. Spartan request my insurance information to bill my insurance. Liberty Mutual provided a claim number #*********. The insurance stated the cesspool company was at fault for the damage.

    [Your Answer Here]

I received a check for $325 from the company. I paid the company $1100 for the service. The company caused damage to my home & property. I need the companies insurance information to file a claim for my property loss. I have since hired a company to complete the work not completed by Payless Cesspool, Sewer & drain.

the customer had a clogged main line in there home which was causing a backup in there home not being able to use anything, toilets, sink, and shower. the customer had no access to the vent outside which is where you can clear the clog from the main pipe so everything flows in home. the vent was under a deck with no access and customer was advised it could not be cleared from there because of no access, customer took me down to basement where there is access to get into waste line. i told customer if we opened pipe in basement waste was going to back out of pipe. **** told me it has to be done because they werent able to use anything in home. i told customer well if thats the case and you want me to open pipe, you better have large garbage pail or barrell to catch as much waste water as possible. i also advised cust that because pipe was up against basement wall it would be impossible to catch everything. customer said they have no service and whatever has to be done has to be done. after we got pipe open some waste water came back like i told customer. we rootered the pipe and got it cleared. customer was very happy, wasnt concerned bout waste water that spilled on floor. but than the next day all of a sudden it was a whole different ball game, so we wound up sending a company in at our expense to do a clean up which was minimal rather than fight the fight with the customer. than they still werent happy and we sent her a check for the amount she agreed to. so at this point the customer fully knew everything above, and is looking for something for nothing. the customer can take whatever action they like, ive been in touch with my insurance company and my attornyey, we are noit responsible, the customer wanted it done. and like i said its not normal practice but they had no access to pipe except for basement and she had no service and insisted we open pipe

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because

The company arrived at my home without the equipment necessary to protect my property. He asked me for a pail. He made no attempt to access the waste from the outside. He released the waste into my basement. He advised me that his friend would be over to clean up the spill and my insurance company would pay. He also signed my name to the receipt. He was paid cash $1100, for the service.
